What they are doing is very normal for pious Muslims and what others are doing are abnormal. U may think that covering their head is not normal, However, that is actually normal. In Islam, Female body including hair are not for public viewing. It is the modesty of a woman. As such, Islam forbid female Muslimah from exposing their skin and hair to any other person except to their close family members and husband. Thus, it protect the dignity of the female worshippers.

I do live my life for god only, every breath I take is for god. I do enjoy life and I am normal. Women cover because it is an order by god, by the way, orthodox jewish women cover, the new testament orders women to cover, catholic nuns cover. Why do you feel its your right to gawk and drool over a woman? Muslim women who cover are normal and enjoy everything. There is only a few things that is not allowed for muslims. We are normal and happy. Muslims do not believe that we are getting a free ride to heaven and that we can pawn off on someone else our bad deeds. If you want to get to heaven, you are going to have to work for it, no free ride. Muslims are happier than most christian and jews are. Whats wrong with you?

Its because obeying the Creator is important to Muslims.

Within obedience there is reward that's why, its as simple as that. God will reward the women who cover up their beauty like Mary mother of Jesus covered herself.

Ask yourself the question if you disobey the king all your life but then want something from him, do you think he will give it? Why should the king give to someone who disobeys him?

But if someone obeys the king and is concerned in every action that is doesn't anger the king. How would the king feel about that person wouldn't he want to give to them.

Chose the where you want to be, its a simple choice.

If a person wishes to follow their religion properly and go by the book, there is nothing wrong in that. It doesn't matter what country the person is in. What's wrong with a person living their life only for God? If that's how they choose to live their life, that shouldn't be an issue for anyone else.
This is exactly where intolerance begins, when we start questioning a person's beliefs and not letting them simply be who they are.

There's nothing wrong with us, and I'd appreciate it if you'd respect and tolerate our religion as we do yours.

Allah (swt) did not put us on earth to have extreme fun and live it down. This life is like a placement test; Allah (swt) is testing us here so that He can judge whether we're going to heaven or hell. Hell is described as a REALLY bad place, fire all over, and constant burning. Put your face over the stove for the rest of your life; this is how hell is. Heaven, on the other hand, is a beautiful place, where we can do WHATEVER we want. No rules whatsoever in heaven, and it's so peaceful and so beautiful, you can't even imagine. And Allah (swt) knows best.

Don't be too hard on the Muslims. I presume you have lived most of your life in post-Darwinian Europe or America/The West where religion has become more of a tradition than an integral part of the generally accepted way of life! Just to give you one example, Hassidic and Haredic Jews are, ironically, as stringent in their observation of religious laws as devout Muslims. There are rules for dress and women are obliged to be "modest" etc etc. Remember that when dealing with a religious group you should always ask yourself whether they be a genuine representative of that religion per se, or are they a so-called "orthodox" group within that religion.

The world we living in is temporary. I know what you thinking now - " so why not "enjoy" every bit of it ?"
This world is also a test to mankind, to qualify for a better life after this one.
.........by the way visiting places of interest and nature, gardening, enjoying good food, playing sport and with kidds, playing board games like chess, being jovial etc etc etc IS NOT CONSIDERED WRONG IN ISLAM.
Islam teaches us to enjoy what is good and forbid what is evil, like gambling, porn, stealing, collection of interest, glorifying pop stars more than God.

Islam encourages everyday gratitude to God for whats given in this world. avoiding evil qualifies you for the better world.
"killing the infedels" as many non-muslims put it is a wrong perception of Islam.

Jewish religion has very strict rules about what yuo can/can't do eat etc and so does Christianity. Its a matter of how much people choose to follow it. 100 years ago, people followed the bible much closer than they do now as in the western world, we have become more secualr.

However, in developing countries, Christianity can be blamed for very high levels of AIDS and over population due to their pushing of anti-contraception and abortion. In the big scheme of things, people not eating pork is nothng compared to people dying due to overpoulation
