The phrase is:
El Amor es un recuerdo k me mancha el corazon.

I have a vauge idea that is says something like:
" The love is remembered stain on ones heart"
well that doesn't really make much sense as i tried to decipher it myself... can you help? I am trying to learn spanish and i saw this phrase written on a piece of paper when i was on holiday.

Thanks

It seems like a lot of these other answers came from online translators. I'm fluent in Spanish and you got it about right.
"Love is a memory which stains my heart" or "The love is a memory which stains my heart" depending ont the context. It may seem wierd but Hispanic writers and poets are VERY dramatic. I would guess it is trying to say that some love is a distant memory that lingers in the heart in a painful way. Another interpretation would be that the memory of some love is has left a negative influence on this person and others can see that their heart is aching.

Love is a memory that stains the heart
That is the exact translation, neither literal translations nor website translations are usually accurate so it's always better to double check preferably with a native speaker of the language you want translating - also this is a perfect way to improve your learning of any language.

P.S. Quite a nice little phrase really

All I got on a website was - The Love is a memory k stains me the corazon. But if you put in The love is remembered stain on ones heart and ask it to do from English to Spanish it comes out as - El amor se recuerda la mancha en el corazón de unos

Try "The love is a memory which stains my heart." The thing with a lot of Spanish, is that it uses what you might call "conceptual" meaning rather than "literal" meaning, when compared to English. E.g "Podemos salir a hora" means We can leave now. But if you translate it literally, it comes back to you as " We have the power to exit the hour"........Yeah, I know...I had a bit of trouble grasping it too!!
