I've taken it for short terms but never took it on a regular basis. Any medication you take all the time can eventually cause some problems in your system.

One thing you might want to look into is doing a liver cleanse either every 3 months or twice a year so toxins from drugs won't build up in the liver, plus the gall bladder will benefit, too. You might also want to look into doing a colon cleanse because toxins build up on the walls and the colon will quit functioning as well after a while (it can't absorb nutrients like it should).

One thing I do for the colon cleanse is I use Shaklee Herb-Lax occasionally. Their products are all natural and that works really well for me and others who have used it. I believe they also have something for the liver but I've not checked into that yet.

I am presently taking generic Voltaren for my arthritis and am supposed to take it twice a day every day but I take it twice on one day and once the next and rotate that way and some days don't take it at all and I try to drink alot of water each day.

Hopefully your doctor advised you to drink alot of water with the Mobic to keep it from building up or causing other problems.

Good luck ~ hope it helps you with your pain

It made me sick. Doctor gave it to me because it is easier on the stomach than other anti-inflammatories. But I couldn't take it. I made me dizzy and nauseated. So, I had to get another anti-inflammatory med and get prescribed a stomach medication to prevent the ulcers that anti-inflamms can give a person.
