LOL thanks for the comments, however I just started messing around with PSP Xl and truly dont know alot, the circle was the sun, and the shadow was the orginal shadow, i didnt add it..I was proud of this pic, considering its the first 1 I ever made.

Hey it's honestly great, hold onto it and treasure it, actually you should e-mail it to your local News station, their always looking for great pix like that to honor our troops..Keep up the good work, its beautiful the way you incorporated the flag and "your own private soldier" Be Proud...

I like the photo, here's my two cents...
Make the soldier a little less transparent, he seems to be the main subject.
Fade the flag that is directly over the soldier a little more, and fade the rest of the flag slightly less.
I don't like the large circle things in the sky, or is that posterized?
The soldier's shadow is, ummm, odd. because of the landscape background it looks like someone is sneaking up on him and about to attack him.
Needs a lot more contrast, and some more saturation.

I like the subject matter. Looks like you have three layers. I just thought that maybe one layer could stand on its own and the other two could fade in only slightly to compliment it. Try making the soldier completely opaque (not transparent) and have the flag and sunset fade in only slightly. Or any combination of the three. I feel that it has more meaning and depth that way. Only an opinion. Nice one though!
