Your dog had an allergic reaction. Find out from your vet what caused it, and don't give her that again. Swelling is due to more than just sensitive skin. If her throat had swollen shut, It could have stopped her breathing and killed her. The shot your vet gave was adrenoline to stop the swelling. This is serious.

It must be the language barrier, but I'm not sure what you mean by 'jabs'. Do you mean her vaccines? Shots? It is common for puppies who recieve too many vaccines at a young age to have a reaction. Many clinics either want to gouge their clients and give more vaccines, or are simply behind the times when it comes to new vaccine protocol - bare minimum is best!
Next time she gets her shots, make sure she is only getting the few she actually needs to protect her from deadly illnesses - rabies and distemper/hepatitis/parvovirus. If your vet is including leptospirosis, bordatella/parainfluenza, or coronavirus vaccines in her protocol please find out why. Leptospirosis is only a danger to dogs in the country who are exposed to wild animal urine, bordatella/parainfluenza is only important for dogs exposed to kennel environments or doggie parks, and coronavirus is so uncommon in most areas, it's practically a ripoff to give the vaccine.

No your dog had an allergic reaction to one of the shots. You should be very careful what shots she is given in the future and not give her more than one at a time. This reaction should be reported to your countries agency that over sees veterinary medicine.

Sounds like your pug had a allergic reaction to the shot. I'd talk with your vet about this if your pug needs any further shots. They can tell you how to avoid the bad reaction for any further shots.

Hi -- Hasn't happened to me or my dogs...I am assuming you were referring to shots. This can be a common reaction especially for dogs with more sensitive skin like pugs, poodles, etc.

It's a side effect of the shots. It can happen. You did the right thing. I'm always told my my vet that this can happen. Relax, she'll be ok.

No, this has never happened to me, but I have heard it happening to people who take allergy medication and other medicine. Some have nasty side effects and others don't.
