i will hear over and over agian that if Americans didn't use so many drugs that,,there wouldn't be a problem

I belive this to be arrogant to the point of brainwashing , here is why

1, the drug cartel is Criminal activity
2, the drugs are sold mostly in the US becuse they can sell them for much more here,,,,not becuase of hunger ,but becuase of the amount of money people make
3, ANYWHERE drugs are sold,,people will buy them,,especially in Latin America, so don't give me to high horscrap moral attitude that Americans are just more likley to use drugs, in the town and villages that dealers infiltrate in Mexico,,,Cocaine addiction epedimics will spread quicker than this country, across the board,,in a couple years,,half a village will be hooked,,nobody is immune to addiction,,just a fact of life, drugs are just not as widley available or afforded there

4, If your son gets hooked on heroin when he is 14,,will you put any blame on the person who gave him his first hit,,,,,

Why do Latins claim that the drug cartel is OUR fault?

BECAUSE IT IS OUR FAULT!
READ THE OLIVER NORTH PAPERS DURING REGAN'S TERM! ALSO,
THEY HAVE TOLD US,they the Latin farmers, IF WE paid them they won't grown the poppy, which is what drugs is made of. They would love to stop growing it but how will the feed their families. THEY are not going to literally starve
to quit growning a produce that is barely keeping them the little people alive. THE CARTEL get the bulk of the money; not only that....DRUGS ARE BIG MONEY IN AMERICA were it not so they would legalize it. CANADA DON'T HAVE OUR PROBLEMS, they don't have illegal drugs. DURING PROHIBITION TIME WHEN ALCOHOL WAS ILLEGAL, there were smugglers and underground sales of alcohol...just as drugs are doing today, alcohol fueled the criminal ailiments, but crime went down after alcohol became legal. WHY NOT LEGALIZE DRUGS another is is because DRUGS KEEPS A DEPRESSED PEOPLE UNDER CONTROL that's why it is in predominately poor neighborhoods. PRISON IS BIG BUSINESS IN AMERICA, too! THEY ARE INTERTWINED. Drugs supplies the prisons with cheap labor, cheap labor supplies the fat cats with more pocket money...

ILLEGAL DRUGS ARE BIG BUSINESS IN AMERICA
READ THIS EXCERPT AND BE SURE TO READ THE LINKS.....YEP THE LATINS ARE CORRECT...NO dealing with CARTELs means loss revenue in our little and big home towns......all the stinky stuff going on makes it hard to breathe ONE CAN ALMOST UNDERSTAND WHY PEOPLE HIT THE CRACK PIPES RATHER THAN DEAL WITH THE REALITIES, but then that takes us back to who is the blame for the CARTELS.....

There is a video on youtube proper now of a most important drug cartel member speakme approximately how they love the conflict on medicines. How it places cash in thier wallet and presents them with a degree of guns and technological know-how that they not ever could have had earlier than it. Ask your self why a nation that's an proficient on regulating medicines, the US, positioned a few medicines at the reverse facet of a few arbitrary line. You can do the entire Paxil you wish however do not smoke weed or you'll be able to move to prison. More police officers, higher weapons, tighter controls will not ever paintings. We must cope with the middle of the main issue - the criminalization of medicines. If we legalizes the whole thing the next day and began taxing and regulating them then our disorders with this challenge could be over. Case in factor - Cocaine is unlawful but discovered far and wide the streets. Novacaine, an overly identical spinoff, is discovered in each dentists workplace however no longer at the road. We can keep an eye on those matters. Why have the cartels make the foundations?

2 Cents, here is your change. Booman has it right. Economics 101, naw, this is ECON 100. Simple SUPPLY and DEMAND. The tail doesn't wag the dog. The dog wags the tail. And America is the BIG DOG, unfortunately, even in our use of illicit drugs and narcotics. Most of the "blame" CAN be pointed at our amount of disposable income, but the reasons go much deeper than simple riches. Some of our POOREST people still manage to be habitual abusers because other "commodities" are also at work. Like a woman's body or a thief's resourcefulness. Some will do whatever it takes to feed their demon. This pathology is NOT JUST AMERICAN, but other cultures haven't been as saturated with this "need" from top to bottom as ours has. It's a fact that no one is immune, but some make themselves easier victims than others.

Yes, the making and distribution of addicting drugs is a criminal and inhumane practice, and those doing it should be excised like a cancer tumor, for it is a cancer to society.

But, the use of drugs means that someone will have a market for those drugs. The users will need to have more education about the negative effects of drugs, and if they don't stop, then maybe they'll need excising from society.

People do not sell in a place that does not buy and we as in the USA buys a crap load of drugs. I do not agree with Latins saying that it is totally our fault but us being consumers of illegal drugs does make us partially at fault. Second drugs like Marijuana are either produced in the USA or Canada and not sold buy Latin cartels. Also it is still difficult to obtain the harder drugs in most places you usually have to know someone who knows someone to get it, it is not like they set up shop at your local 7-11 for any person to buy.

Because it's easier to blame others (the USA) for the problem then blame yourself (Latin American countries) and fix the problem. It's not a supply and demand issue, it's a where is the drugs comming from issue.

USA is the number one consumer of drogs in the world. No USA no drugs, if you eliminate Colombia, still have mexico, or Peru, Bolivia etc and so on, as long there are demand a new suplier will come.

It's simple supply and demand....If the demand for drugs wasn't so high in the US, they wouldn't be producing the vast amounts that they know they can sell in the US. Demand dictates the production quotas, as long as we shoot up, snort, smoke and eat as many drugs as we can get our hands on, then they will make sure we have enough to get our hands on them.

they say that if our school children did accept the candy with cocaine inside it, then there woudn't be any addicts in the US and no cartels in latin america. it is hard to argue with that type of intelligence....but we are talking about latin america here, so nothing these people say should be a surprise
