I don't know what to do. I am 26 & the guy I've been leaning towards is 20. I didn't know that until I really go to know him though. He didn't act like he cares & I don't care. Apparently you can't tell b/c we couldn't. Is this too strange though? People the don't know me think I am only 21 or 22....I guess it's how I look. I can't say it's b/c they think I act younger (I don't think I do anyway) b/c they don't know me yet. And I thought he was at least 25. I don't know when his b-day is yet. Please help...and be nice:)

Well just like the song by aaliyah "age aint nothin but a number" check this out right when I meant (sp) my boyfriend I was 17 and he was 25 we are together till this day and i'm about to turn 20 and he's about to turn 28 all I can really say to your question is that if y'all click and it's there then go for it If y'all have love for one another and he is on his grown man s*** and you on your grown woman status then there shouldn't be nothing to worry about and one more thing if love is involved you always have to give it a chance unless you let it slip through your fingers and you would've never have known what could've happened or anything
All I want you to take from this is age, race, religion, hair, weight, height none of this matter when you have love for another and all y'all want from one another is love, respect, honesty, loyalty, understanding from each other.

Hope you get the answer you was looking for if age mattered that much there's a whole lot of people that wouldn't be happy you can't choose who your in love with it just happens.

There is nothing wrong with that age difference......if the feelings are there. I have seen worse. Plus if you found a 20 year old that doesn't act like a teenager, hang on to him.....finding a mature 20 year old guy is like trying to find a needle in a haystack!! Hold on tight!!

I say once people aren't teenagers anymore, age doesn't really matter as long as you get along and have respect for each other. Now, if he was 16 and you're 26, that would be wrong. But you're both adults, so it shouldn't matter.

My baby sister is the same number of years older than her husband and they just had their 30th. Age is just a state of mind and if you don't mind it doesn't matter. So maybe he is a little mature for his age; who knows? You are trying to please the world, and are going to find out that you never can. Just forget it and enjoy your life. If anybody tries to give you bad time tell them to get down on their knees and kiss your you-know-what.

Ask him when his birthday is. As far as dating, go for it, but for anything beyond that(i.e. sex, shacking up) wait until your wedding night for that. At 20 most guys aren't ready for marriage. But if people think you act younger(not necessarily a good thing) you probably do.

Darlin,
Age is all a state of mind. If it doesn't bother you or him, then don't worry about it. Have fun and don't let others detour you from being with someone whom you are attracted to, have fun with, etc. just because they might find it odd about the age difference. There is a 12 year difference between me and my love, and we don't let it bother us.

Age is just a number. Don't sweat a number. Worry about the important things.

Baby Cakes.. ITs ok that he's 5 years younger than you are. If he acts mature than go with it. If it really freaks you out then talk to him about it.. things will be fine
