you just crabed a seat from Boston and they sold you the ticket on the way to LGA or DCA my unchel would take me to both citys to bet horses and just frat around no I.D. NO proplems no homeland security no bad guys good old days

I remember how smoky those flights used to be. As soon as the "No Smoking " sign was turned off it seems that everyone lit up at once
Was it Northeast or Eastern that called their 727's Whisper Jets ?

The Eastern Air Shuttle. Yes, Eastern called their jets "Whisperjets."

It wasn't quiteTHAT simple.
In the boarding area, a machine spit out a ticket.,You had to fill in your name and address and hand it to the gate agent. That's how they knew who was on the plane. but yes, it was simple.
AND CHEAP. Off hours, Newark to Boston, $ 10.00.
-You paid with a pre-bought ticket,. cash, check, credit card. So easy-----
