The first words of Allah that are not corrupt according to Muslims is the Qu'ran. 600 AD. Man existed 4000 years without a dependable word from God. All of God's words were corrupted by man. We have no word from God we can believe until the Qu'ran. God chose to allow his people to be deceived and his word to be made a lie for four thousand years....Now we believe the Qu'ran which also is written words because within this written word you say is a promise to keep his word...If his word is corrruptible then wouldn't a promise within the word be worthless? Would you accept a check as payment for a bad check? If Allah could not keep his word for 4000 years is he worthy of our trust?

Crazy I believe God has kept his word. It is Muslims who tell me the word of God is corrupt. These are the words of your people not mine. Christians believe in the word of God.

Aminah, Have you ever heard the word synopsis? There is only one creation story in Genesis. Yes I completely trust God to keep his word. If for one second I thought God incapable of keeping his word I would be an Athiest. The true word of God is perfect in it's truth and God himself reveals his truths to those who love and seek him.

Ryan, I'm sorry to say but you could not be more wrong..Christians follow the teachings of Jesus Christ It is in total agreement with God's word before Christ. We do not follow a different God calling previous scriptures corrupt but are following the same God as Abraham. The Muslims are not in agreement with the prophets of God nor the word of God that preceded Muhammad...therefore the Allah of Islam can not be the God od Abraham as they do not agree...yet Allah says he is this God causing Muslims to call God's word corrupt.

Lost in thought there are major differences to the point of Allah not being the same god. The God of Abraham had requirements for prophets..which would make Muhammad a false prophet...this makes any further argument moot... Moses taught the tree of life, Abraham said the lord would provide himself a lamb,
Isaiah said the Messiah would atone for sin. Jesus said he and the Father are one and that he is the truth and the way and the life no one comes to the Father but through the Son..he siad Moses taught of him and agreed with the prophesies if Isaiah saying he would fufill them. john the Baptist said ...Behold the lamb of God. these are not minor as your salvation depends on this. The God before Muhammad is not the God of Islam ..why? four thousand years God was different? Yet Allah says he is this God. Then he teaches a different message.

I'm not sure the Muslim answerers really understood the point of my question. If Allah allows man ot make him a liar and his word could not be trusted...then you seriously have a problem. I am sure this must be fine by Muslims...I am equally sure that the God Christians and Jews worship is absolute righteous. the true God of Abrham left no room for his word to be mistrusted, If God can not be trusted we have nothing...It is by faith we know God. If our faith is in a God not capable of keeping his word how strong could our faith be? The true God of Abraham is absolutely trustworthy and sinful men do not make a liar out of him.
and what of the genrations of us who you think had a corrupt word fo four thaousand years..shouldnt everyone who mistrusted God for thousands of years generations of people who did not believe...wouldn't they be correct not to trust God or his word? How can Allah be a righteous god and punish people who were mislead by his word? or who didn't believe him.

The Holy Bible is God's word and has not been corrupted by man or anything else. This is just an excuse Muslims use to recruit people. If the Bible was corrupt, why use it to try and justify Muhammad being a prophet? If the Bible cannot be trusted, why say the Torah and Bible are part of islam? If the Bible cannot be trusted, why refer to it at all? Muslims falsely claim so many things, such as Muhammad is The Comforter, but their only proof is the word of Muhammad and The Holy Bible and the Bible they don't trust. So it comes down to the word of a man. How can they believe God would let people believe lies for centuries? They believe it because allah is a deceiver, as the quran accurately states. allah is not God. allah is just a name. Muhammad was quite a manipulator and still has people fooled.

God Bless.

Um...

You must not realize that Islam followed Christianity the same way Christianity came from Judaism. According to the faith of the Muslim people, their first Prophet was Isa (Jesus). Mohammed was the second Prophet. The followers of Isa were supoossed to follow Mohammed upon the arrival of the second prophet.

Basically, to answer your question, what that is, is a justification to Islam that The Bible and Torah are not the word of god to live by. Islam recognizes that it is a religion that stemmed from Christianity, but in your example, it is simply Islam discrediting Christianity and Judaism.

Basically, it's a slap in your face. It's not a contradiction.

Muslims believe there is a literal copy of the Qur'an in the presence of Allah. Allah said, "The Word that comes from me does not change, so it will be as I enjoined on you in the Mother of the Book
Why would the "Mother Book" be written in Arabic, when no one in the Bible spoke Arabic. If the Bible is also God’s word, (as Muslims claim, except corrupted) why is the Bible written in Hebrew, Aramaic and Greek, but NEVER Arabic?

In each age, Allah chooses messengers to reveal the message contained in the Mother of the Book. Why did Allah not choose Arabs for his choosen People or all his Prophets. Why Hebrews?
"Ha Mim. By the Book that makes things clear- We have made it a Qur'an in Arabic, that ye may be able to understand (and learn wisdom). And verily, it is in the Mother of the Book, in Our Presence, high (in dignity), full of wisdom." (Surah 43:1-4, Az-Zukhruf)
Just doesn't make sense.
Allah tells us his word does not change. Allah had the Quran with him in Arabic and revealed parts of it to his messengers in Hebrew?

Back to your question.
He reveals truth to His prophets, but also abrogates it, changes the message, or makes them forget it. (Surah 2:105.) The whole teaching of Moslem exegetes on the subject of Nasikh and Mansookh, or the Abrogated verses of the Koran, is utterly opposed to the idea of God's immutability and truth. There are twenty cases given in which one revelation superseded, contradicted, or abrogated a previous revelation to Mohammed. Allah's moral law changes, like his ceremonial law, according to times and circumstances. He can do what He pleases. The Koran often asserts this. Not only physically, but morally, He is almighty, in the Moslem sense of the word. Allah, the Koran says, is the best plotter. Allah mocks and deceives. Allah "makes it easy" for those who accept the prophet's message. (Surahs 8:29; 3:53; 27:51; 86:15; 16:4; 44:15; 9:5].)

Muslims don't even have a fragment of scripture from the time before the Quran to support what they claim to be true. Thats really a very looong time without evidence.

Wa alaikum as salaam, Nobody really knows the answer of this one except the Almighty-All Knower- Allah. And i think instead of us trying to think what Allah would intend, which is impossible with our little and corrupted iman and ilm, i think we should be worrying about NOT being the ones who would dwell in Hell. This is like imagining how would one celebrate after exams when he has no clue what so ever if he's even gonna pass. Allah knows best :)

What Allah gave to us prior to the Qur'an was not corrupt; it's human error that corrupted it. However, Allah made sure the final word was not corrupted because it was put into writing and copied exactly and sent to the major Islamic centers. (I know this is over-simplifying it, but I'm doing so for the matter of space.)

Allah leads those whom He will to Islam; that does not mean that He faults those who are practicing the words of the previous prophets, as long as they are practicing with sincerity.

How can you believe the Bible is faultless? There are TWO DIFFERENT accounts of creation in Genesis alone. Paul states his account of what happened on the road to Damascus three different ways. The geneology of Jesus (pbuh) is different in Matthew and Luke. So do you trust God despite these discrepancies in "your" book?

Trust is a personal matter, my friend, as is the relationship with God.

Asalaamu alaikum! (Peace be upon you!)

good one Ryan...couldn't say it better myself...and you know believe it or not...there maybe small differences between Islam and Christianity, but the only major difference is that we believe Jesus was a prophet not a god...where as some Christan's believe in the Holy Trinity...btw...Allah always keeps his promises....just because its not instant doesn't make it true
