My ex used to complain that we never spoke during sex. After we split and I started dating again I kept that in mind.
I started talking , joking and asking questions and started having more fun. Good sex brings lots of things to the table. Don't hesitate to open your self to new things. It may seem odd at first but give it a chance.

It's all about distraction for him... sounds like maybe he uses the conversation in order to uh...bringing the evening to an abrupt end. *wink*. No matter... as someone else here suggested if it's working...why question it???? Of course... you could suggest a "special evening" where there is no verbal communication if you want a different sort of. There is no "strange" sex... what like minded folks do is natural and without judgement.

If the conversation is just him talking about how much you want it and like it and so on, my goodness pull out the duct tape. But if he is kissing your neck and whispering in your ear, ooh yummy. But anyway if your asking us if that's weird, than it sounds like you don't like it.
