Do your research! I have a very strong opinion on the matter but I won't tell you what it is because I don't want to sound biased. It's not about what I like, it's about what is the best match for YOU.
You have to figure out which pet will be right for your lifestyle. Talk to breeders and pet owners. Both breeds are cute but they are really very different.
Some similarities though: Neither is necessarily easy to train. Both snore and fart. Both have a tendency to be overweight if you are not careful.
Whatever you do, be sure to buy from a responsible breeder if you must get a purebred. Both breeds could potentially develop a lot of health issues. You'll have a better chance at getting a healthy dog if you by from a great breeder.
Lastly...I highly recommend rescue! There are rescue groups for both breeds, and even getting a puppy is possible with rescue.

I have a Fawn pug and a Black Pug Luv them!! My parents have a Boston Terrier, he is about the same size just taller, but my cousin has a little girl BT and she is very small. Great dogs too!! So I think to have the best of both breeds I would say go with a Boston Terrier. I hope this helps.

I think pug because terriers are barky and sometimes rude. A pug can be barky, but they're usually not rude. Also they are much cuter!

Both have the same deformations of the upper jaw and respiratory tract. The nostrils are too small and the soft pallete is too short and too fat and so they are commonly plagued by collapsed tracheas.
Both have shorter upper jaws than lower jaws because the defining genes for these parts are on different chromasomes, and so they are both plagued by mismatching jaws, causing interference and impaction of teeth.
They are both lovable, wonderful, smart, affectionate, and trustworthy breeds. It's more a matter of which color you like better.

Pug for sure. They are NOT barky. They are sweet, loveable and very, very comical.
If they do snore it is a very endearing snore. My doesn't snore very often but when it does it's a very quiet snore and endearing.
Make sure you don't get it from a backyard breeder. You don't want a sickly pug.
Pugs rule!!!!!!!
Good luck.

Sure and you can pick out the most beautiful star in the heavens, too.
They're both wonderful pets - happy, energetic, smart, non-smelly and shed very little.
Again, they're both super pets. Flip a coin.
