How do we know that we aren't being used to suffer as a sacrifice for something else?

Maybe God loves ants more than us...

"God does not put anybody through trials!" - I asked a question on here as to why God wants babies foreskin to be removed, because I said that this would mean that God wants his own (supposedly perfect) design changing.

Christians who answered said 'no, no, no you cannot be right, God IS perfect. Circumsion is a test of obedience'.

Either you are wrong or they are wrong - therefore does this prove the Bible is wrong?

Anyway, this was only a lighthearted opinion of mine....

Whoever said i must be going through tough times is wrong!

I'm having a great life! i was just trying to provoke a thought in peoples minds for them to ponder.

The mind needs exercise too!

What, EXACTLY does God say about human sacrifice in the Bible? In Deuteronomy 12:30-31, God calls Human sacrifice something that He hates, and an abomination to Him, "for every abomination to the Eternal, which he hateth, have they done unto their gods; for even their sons and their daughters they have burnt in the fire to their gods. In Jeremiah 19:4-6, God tells us that Human sacrifice is so horrible a concept to Him, that it did not even come into His mind to demand it from His creation, "They have built also the high places of Baal, to burn their sons with fire for burnt offerings unto Baal, which I commanded not, nor spake it, neither came it into my mind." We see the same thing in Psalm 106:37-38, and in Ezekiel 16:20. This means that God would not accept Jesus's death on the cross as a blood sacrifice for the forgiveness of sins. The very idea of that God would accept a human sacrifice for the forgiveness of sins is UNBIBLICAL.

That's an interesting question, me thinks. I think the difference is that Jesus knew he was a sacrifice, and had the choice not to go through with it, which is why it was such a sacrifice because he fully knew what was coming. While if we are sacrifices for ants or whatever, we don't know about it so we dont have the choice about it so how is it really a sacrifice?
Also on the trials thing ... of course God puts us through trials whoever said that doesn't their Bible and so hasn't really got such a right to preach (not that I have the understanding or knowledge to preach either, I just like rambling on what I think!). Sometimes it is the Devil that tests us (such as when Jesus was tempted in the desert) but sometimes it is God, such as when Abraham was asked to sacrifice his son. However it does say in the Bible something like 'God will not put us through something he doesn't think we can handle'

The question assumes that Jesus was just another man which is not biblical, second the bible answers the question about being a sacrifice in Hebrews 10:12 that says "But when this priest (Jesus) had offered for all time one sacrifice for sins, he sat down at the right hand of God." and the bible expands on this more in Hebrews 10:14 that says "because by one sacrifice he has made perfect forever those who are being made holy." So there is only one perfect sacrifice (Christ) and no you are not it.

If you believe that he was sent as a sacrifice then, yes you may be right.
However, if you think that Jesus was sent as a messenger to deliver God's message, then its a totally new thing altogether right?
He did not come as a sacrfice, but, people who did not believe him did that to him. He was not the son of God in literal sense, but, a chosen one to deliver God's message. In short he was just a prophet. People mistook him and created this whole different Christianity Story. Thats why its often been said, the greatest story ever told...

James 1:1 says," Consider it pure joy, my brothers, whenever you face trials of many kinds, because you know that the testing of your faith develops perseverance. And Perseverance must finish its work so that you may be mature and complete, not lacking anything."

I too have been going through tough times and you are not alone. This time of struggle produces great character and a solid rock of strength. Do not let go of your faith and hold to the path that you know is true. God has great things in store for those He puts through trials and He will make sense of all you have been through and you will look back and appreciate what you learned inside of this time. You will know that it made you a better person. Continue to read His word and take refuge in Him.

I will add you to my pleas as well.

Dear Friend,

Because that is not the teaching of the Bible, the message of the Bible was that Christ died for us, it also says that God can not lie.

God Bless

Dear Brother,

God does not put anybody through trials! we suffer because we make poor choices, often without seeking Gods guidance.

God Bless

LOL. Though I suspect we are really suffering as a sacrifice for cats. We seem to have been put on earth to serve them. Or at least that is what they seem to think.

The Christians seem to think that Jesus was a fool as he lets his followers live in sin so he can live in pain.

When a Christian murderer goes to court, can he say to the Judge, hang Jesus, he will pay for my sins?

In Hinduism, we believe in giving love to a Guru and love to God, not pain. This is real religion, to give love to Guru and God, not our sins.
