Boo Too is absolutely right, Krug is the king.
Thier highest price bottle is the "Clos de Mesnil" Blanc de Blanc. The current WHOLESALE cost is $730.00 per bottle (for the 1995 vintage, ).
Expext to pay about $1000.00 in a wine shop or up to $2500.00 in a restaurant/club....if you can find it!
If you're talking about American sparkling wine...there is no comparison. Try the Shramsberg Reserve.

There are more "expensive" brands than I can count. However, if you are looking for the best champagne (IMO any way), I'd pick Krug every single time.

Skip the Dom Perignon and Cristal, and try the other brands on the market.

It's more about personal taste but Dom Perignon is a very tasty as well as expensive champagne. Try Veuve Clicquot, Roederers or Mumm's.....all very good dry champagnes that will take a buck or two from your wallet.
