A bite has caused swelling, bruising and pain when walking...what is it...should I see a doctor?

I woke up Tuesday with a bite on my lower outside part of my calf that was red. It has been painful and kind of hurts to walk. It is now swelling to my ankle and there is a bruise about two inches all around the bite. Also, my leg is starting to hurt a little. Is this serious? Do I need to see a doctor?

see a doctor asap, you could have been bit by a spider, spider bites can be very dangerous. check the area for red streks extending out from the bite are this is a sign of a serious possibly deadly bite. please go to the doctor

Sounds like you have an insect bite. Probably a spider bite and you are having an allergic reaction. I would go to the Emergency Room you look at your ankle and leg is there a thin red line wrapping around your ankle or going up your leg? If so that is blood poisoning and it can go to your organs quickly.

YES, you definately DO need to see a doctor!!!
It is probably a bad spider bite, I have seen it happen, but
never with pain or anything swelling to an ankle or elbow.
Go check on that.

I badly sprained my ankle about 3 weeks ago. I was in a hurry going down the stairs, lost my balance and landed on a bad side of my left foot, causing my left ankle to be stretched going on the inside. The first 48 hours were excruciating and the pain was un-believable. I've never had a serious ankle injury before.

So I immediately treated it using the RICE method. The following day, the bruising and swelling were so horrible. I found out that I got a second degree sprain and immediately panicked after that. I had a football game on that week and it been looking forward to it because I've been training for rt. I had teammates that had similar injuries and it took them months to fully recover, some of them stopped playing altogether. So I kinda had a short-term depression because I can't imagine myself not being able to run and play sports anymore.

Because I was so desperate to recover again, I contacted a lot of people that I know who do sports and asked them if they had similar injuries. A couple of days after that, the swelling and bruising were subsid-ing significantly and on the fourth day, I was walking comfortably again. Although I've had felt a bit of stiffness, I continued doing what was instructed. My sister was surprised that I have recovered this fast. I told her about this book and was shocked on how effective the procedures were. I'm just so happy that this book was shared to me and how effective it is.

The cat may have stepped on some type of sliver or have a cut that got infected. It may be a spider bite. Some pereoxide may help. Otherwise, antibiotics from the vet if the swelling does not go down.

yes you have to see a doctor because some that bites can be from a poisoning insects especially the one that hurts a lot

Get medical attention immediately. It could be VERY serious, it already sounds quite serious. If you can't get into see a doctor today, then go to the emergency room at the hospital.

yes and it could be cause it sounds like you got bitten by a poisonous spider and my cousin did and almost lost her hand because of it . get to a dr soon . good luck .
