sounds like he needs to spend some time in a mental hospital.
he's a loser who just wants his punch bag back. forget him, if you're worried go to court and get an injunction against him.

Because he's a control freak and he can't accept that you're no longer part of his life. You have got to be strong and not become embroiled in his world - make it clear that you are not interested in him, that you don't want him back, and that YOU have moved on. If he won't leave you alone then you may need to involve the police again, or contact a solicitor for further advice. Just don't give in to him - and if you are scared of him, or he threatens you, then call the police immediately. Good luck.

Sounds like you haven't moved on enitrely either! Its because he's a control freak and the "fight" is still not won. It never will be for him, until he can see into your head and know and control every single thought you have.
You dont need him to accept it.
It's not your fault he hasn't.
You have done nothing wrong you are entitled to your safety, and you are allowed to leave him.
He just has to deal with it and abide by the law.

seven years is a long time. if he was beating you the whole time then i don't know why you were with him anyway. getting over someone is not always easy to do. he probably felt he had control over you and now he's lost it.

He likes to control, even through the mind, put him out of yours and get on with your life, it hurts but for your own sake you have to
