Flawed irredeemably.
Jesus said, "Do not call me good, none is good but God".
Yet Christianity says that Jesus is God, the second person of the Trinity.
Just one example of countless others.

The Holy Spirit who we (plural) talk to recommended that we use the King James Version (KJV) of the Holy Bible. Why? He said that it is nearer the truth. Notice what He said--the KJV is nearer the truth. Because there are really some details in Bible that are inaccurate which you call "flaws".
So who can tell us the truth? The Holy Spirit that Jesus promised that He would send "will guide you into all truth" (John 16:13). Repeatedly, in Revelation chapters 2 and 3, it says: "He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches." So who should we listen to--our fellowmen or the Spirit?

There are no Flaws, only flawed understanding.
These words were written by prophets inspired by God.
2timothy3:16, Rom 16:25-26
"But now is made manifest, and by the scriptures of the prophets, according to the commandment of the everlasting God, made known to all nations for the obedience of faith: "

I'd disagree.
It has flaws, any historical document does, and the bible isn't meant to be a totally factual text, there are embellishments. It was also written by men, and men are by nature imperfect. There is the risk of political motives getting mixed in with it, there is the risk of lapses in memory. There is also the problem of being translated and handed down through generations.
If you take the bible at face value, then yes, it has a load of flaws. However, if you are looking at the bible the way it's meant to be read, interpret it for yourself with the proper historical information from various sources and an open mind, the flaws should be unimportant to the overall message.

DISAGREE , The Bible has no flaws ! God's word is truth. The person that is reading it and trying to interpret it is the one with flaws. We can find flaws with anything that we do not understand. Some people have to make the bible flawed to fit their lifestyles or beliefs.

What is "truth"? We all have "truths". There is but one "Truth". What you are challenging is good and the questions you are asking are good, but my dear, don't you know that your "answers" do not lie among the words of others. You will hear and read nothing that will alter your thoughts about "flaws in the Bible". The "Truth" you seek about GOD is with you now. You will come to understand in time, and you will discover for yourself the Truth about GOD in your own, individual way. It will be an experience that only you will know and feel. (You will discount these words now, but you will remember them when the time comes, and you will know that they were not my words, but God's). Keep exploring and pursuing your journey for the Truth. It is written, seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened. (There will be many along the way who will get upset or even mad at your questions. Don't worry. Ignore them. Their faith is weak. Be of strong courage and continue your journey for the Truth about God; you will discover the Truth for yourself).

Disagree. The Bible is not the problem. It is just a book designed to provide a basic history of the Israeli people and to provide spiritual guidance to Jews and Christians. The only flaws are people's lousy interpretations and misunderstanding. That's people's fault, not the Bible's.

Disagree......If you can't back up a scripture with another scripture then the chances are you have the wrong interpretation. This is where people think the Bible have flaws.

I'm a follower of Jesus but I'm not about to lie to you on this one...
So I have to agree.
It is flawed in a sense. It is a very human book written by humans for humans.
The writers were inspired by God yes. But they still wrote things from their perspective.
Add to that the errors in translating something from old languages and thoughts into a modern language is challenging. There are pretty accurate translations today due to the many manuscripts that were found over the years.
There are different perspectives, all you have to do is read Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John and you will see what I mean. Each book is a different account of the life and ministry of Jesus.
From my studies I found Mark was the oldest so probably rather accurate.
However, with faith you believe what you read is true and good and relevant.
You will do well to remember that the bible is not God. The bible is a tool to point us in the right direction...
The bible is not a science book nor is it meant to be a comprehensive manual of history.
It is book telling us about God and his desire for us to know him. It tells us how to have a relationship with him.

Thank you David i.Love is the key.The Bible is a pattern, parables that you can apply to your life, and find an answer there.Trust God,and clean out all the uglyness in your heart and mind, then you can see.Teach yourself to love and care, and it will be returned, somewhere, somehow. The devil is a sly ole fox,and will deceive whomever will let him.The troubles we have are to purify us,to get the old out so that we can receive God with a new mind.Sometimes we want to handle things, instead of letting God handle it for us.We sure can get ourself in a mess.Another thing some people have become so lazy that they think if God does'nt zap them what they want when they want it. that He is not real.Anything worth keeping comes with hard work.
