Yeah me too !!! It opens up the airways & makes breathing easier. Don,t think it's asthma, but i found it weird too.

It doesn't mean you are asthmatic. You have an upper respiratory infection and sometimes asthma may occur with it, thus the inhaler in addition to the antibiotics. The asthma symptoms will go away when the respiratory infection goes away. I had this once and was given antibiotics along with an inhaler. After I got better, I've never had to use an inhaler again nor do I have asthma. I had this years ago.

You're not necessarily asthmatic. I 've had a troublesome dry tickly cough for several years. I was given the brown inhaler (Beclometasone) which helps to prevent the coughing - as opposed to Salbutamol which is a reliever. It does help.

I don't think you are necessarily asthmatic. My mum and mum in law both had inhalers for their coughs. It is probably a blue one which "opens up the tubes" as hubby says.

It does not mean you are asthmatic necessarily. It means he is giving you something to clear your bronchials that are filling with mucous. He wants to prevent pneumonia or other bad breathing problems. That kind of treatment is normal. I have had the same thing when I had walking pneumonia. Hope you get well soon. Be sure to take all of your antibiotics even if you get to feeling better.
