Do all you people that claim to Astral Travel ( I am not discounting or supporting it I wouldn't know) have the ability to actually swap bodies with someone else that is Astral Travelling or even occupy or influence someone that is has not left their body?

Paul is correct, we can't influence the physical world, while in the astral we can only influence astral matter.
We also cannot take over or swap bodies. We are attached to our physical body by a silver cord that stretches infinitely and is what always brings us back to our body.
As it was explained to me, the cord is only severed at death of the physical body and only at the appointed time. This silver cord is also what makes it impossible to occupy or take over someone else's body.
Even if you met someone you knew in the astral, unless they were consciously travelling at the same time you were they would most likely not remember seeing you.
Just to clarify things a bit more, when we are in the astral we are only seeing the astral counterparts of the physical world, not the actual physical. When we are in the physical (3rd dimension) we see physical matter, when in the astral (the 5th dimension) we are seeing astral matter. They are completely different planes of existence. This is why we can't influence someone that is not in the astral.

I have had experiences which I believe to be astral travel a couple of times, but there was never any idea of inhabiting or even influencing someone else. It was myself near the ceiling looking down at my body on the (1) bed or (2) operating table. The operating table one was especially interesting because I remember seeing the back of the anesthesiologist's head, who was bending over me at the time.

No, when Astralling we dont influence the physical world except to see it. As far as "influencing", ive often chatted with friends who were also astralling. We remember those conversations, so, that qualifies as influence.
