I have recently split up with my boyfriend because of various reasons. He still owes my sister money. My relationship with my sister is at an all time low.
How can I get the money off my ex? I have tried phoning him and texting him but ignores my calls and texts.
What can I do to get the money the he owes?

I forgot to mention the following details:
1) The money my ex owed is for damage done to my sister property.
2) My sister had spoken to his mum about paying for the damage and his mum's reply to my sister is that she should 'put it down to experience'
3) He ignores all calls and texts from my sister.

Well if you dont have a legal binding contract your pretty much screwed. And thats not your fault, thats your sisters fault for lending it without a contract. Only thing you can do is keep trying the same tactics your trying now to get the money, or just pay it back yourself to get your relationship back to a higher status with your sister. Cause the odds are is that she lent him the money cause she figured you backed him, so it was safe. Thats the only reasonable conclusion i can come to. Goodluck!

If the property damage was reported to the police, you should have the police report and your sister should take him to the court. If the property damage is still there and you have not filed the report. If the damage is within two years, you can still file a report and collect money through courts.
Stop calling him and texting him. Gow up!!
You will have to pay your sister for choosing to date this loser. You dated him, not your sister.
Pay your isster for the damages and take it as an experience.
Good Luck.

This really is between your sister and your ex, and it shouldn't become between you. Are you sure you're not texting him in the hope he will respond, because you are missing him and maybe want him back? Let your sister do the chasing, and if needs be pursue it through the small claims courts. Tell your sister you love her and are sorry for the problems he's caused - but you can't solve it for her. Sounds like you've had a lucky escape from this loser - move on.

I would give her the money myself and then write it off as a bad debt from him. Your relationship with your sister is far more important than some loser who won't even face up to his responsibilities. Also, unless your sister and your ex had a contract stating the amount lent and your sister has something to prove that the money was given to him i.e. cheque stub or bank statements, small claims court is a complete waste of time. If she does get something it won't be as much as she lent him in the first place.

In most cases, since he is ignoring you, consider it just like what he was a boyfriend, a loss. Apologize to your sister and let her get over it. Ya it stinks but how bad do you really want to communicate with someone that is no good as a boyfriend or responsible for debts? Forget the loser, and move on. Same with your sister. If the money is significant, small claims, if not large enough for small claims, again, forget it and move on.

if my sister was upset with me because of something that i did or had her do with my mate or me I would do everything within my power too make it right, and since you are no longer with the mate, pay your sister yourself if you plan to never go back to that man. If my x owed my family like he did, I went and found him around all of his people and I clowned him and let everybody know that he owed my family and too not let him borrow anymoney because he don't pay back. Please dont put him before your sister because no man is worth the complication of destroying a family bond. He is letting you know off the top that he is not caring about you or your sister, and if you have any doing with him before he pays your family you deserve to be out in the cold with him.
It's very simple, pay your sister and leave that loser alone.

He owes the money to your sister, so she needs to take the proper action to get it back. Your sister can file a small claims suit in court and let the judge hear the case.

If a report was not filed with the police, then you can just forget about it. Sorry to say. But that's the truth.
Unless you take him to small claims court, and have proof of the expenses for the repairs you can kiss the money goodbye.
Blunt, but true.

Go round to his house. He owes your sister the money its so not fair. To ease your guilt you could give your sister the money so its then you he owes the money. But at the end of the day he should pay it. Good luck I hope you get the money off him

It's your sister's responsibility to get the money from him. She should take him to small claims court. I'm sure a letter from a judge won't be so easily ignored.
