The amp power wire has nothing at all to do with it. The "switching" type output of some Class D amplifiers can generate an RF signal that interferes with radio reception. It's rare but it does happen, though only with Class D amps. You can try moving the amplifier to a different location farther from your vehicle's antenna, or switch to a different amplifier.

KaeZoo is right.

"is your amp power wire ran on the same side of the car as your antenna wire? because that will cause interference. "

I'm going to try and explain why this myth is totally wrong, in all aspects.

In order for a power wire to induce noise into a signal path, there must be a substantial amount of AC current flowing. Since a cars electrical system is DC, this cannot happen.

There is no chance of this to a coaxial cable (antenna wire) as it's shielded strictly to cancel any unwanted frequencies.

I know this because my power cable and RCA cables are in the same split loom tubing going the entire length of my car and I have crystal clear sound.
