you know your gonna go after it anyway! lol dont know why u even ask. But anyway its not right for right now, but if you conversate and wait to have sex till you turn 18 then you should be legally ok. The way i see it is love doesn't know any age. You cant help who you like, it just happens. If you feel real attracted to him then go for it. Just be smart and don't put him in any legal danger. Goodluck!

Uhm, yes...not to mention probably illegal in some states. I don't know what a 36 and a 17 year old could have in common enough to build a strong foundation for a real relationship. Why not concentrate on someone closer to your age?

Yes, you're not over the legal age for most things, and even when you are, the age gap is still too large, like even when you're say 22, he'll be 41, would you want to be with a guy who's going to be 50 as you've just past 30?

May be fine for a few years, people of 40 dont think like people of 20,hence the arguements you have with your parents. He,s had all his clubbing days and single times and now wants to settle down. You'll miss out on yours.plus why is he 36 and unattatched???has he got kids etc or is he someone who isnt for committment?
What you,ve got to think is also if he does want to be a dad,he is getting on and so would probably want kids soon, are you ready?
But from his side, what if you go out with him for 5 years and then split, you,ll only be 22,and he'll be 41,having to start again. He,s old enough to be your dad!!!!
You only get one life though but think he should find a girl of his own age,not one yours!!!!!My husband is 40 with a 16 year old daughter, sickening to think of him with someone that young.

There can be some leeway within age difference, but that big of an age difference is too significant to go unnoticed. He's 19 years older than you with that much more experience and manipulative ability. A man his age should not be remotely interested in someone your age, because he should be looking for maturity and experience. I am not saying that you're immature, but you and this guy should be interested in someone closer to your age group. Age ain't nothing but a number, but wisdom and experience do count for something.

Without a doubt, he is old enough to be your dad. He's obviously feeling good because a 17 year old girl likes him, your a boost to his ego. Find someone your own age, have some fun, and don't bother with this guy.

Not the ideal age, but age is just a number and if this guy is gonna treat you well, go for it. When are you 18?

Age-difference relationships can carry some problems but if you really click..........the most important thing is a guy who will look after you.

Good Luck 4 the future x x

Well, it seems worse that he works for her dad. If 17 is legal consent age in your state, then the only factor to consider is what they actually have in common. Its hard to believe there is anything. If she is the one who wants to keep it secret, there could be hope. Because if he is willing to tell her parents, and risk losing his job for her, then who knows, he may have real feelings for her. If he is the one pressing to keep the relationship secret, then I suspect he might be using her and she should spill the beans, immediately. Its a big age difference, but men can be much less emotionally mature than women, so these two might actually be equally immature, and perfectly matched!

As i see it if the diffrence between any 2 people more that 10 yrs then its too old. you are 17 u can find many who as sweet and understanding and at the age of 20-25 and thats alot better for u. so dont rush things and wait maybe u will find someone even better.

My rule is 10 years either way is fine then if you go over that its a bit weird. Personally I think you should wait till your 18 to give it a go. Also your parents might not be best pleased about it. At the end of the day its up to you though. But you might get questions like is that your dad but if thats fine with you id give it a go. Id never want to regret not giving certain things a try. Its not like its illegal cause your not under 16.

That is quite a gap, considering you are only in your teens! He may well be looking for something different in the relationship, or this could be a sign that he quite immature and not ready to grow up. Either way, it seems a bit too much of a gap. If you feel you are mature enough to cope with this relationship then, fine, but be wary, your relationship quite often will not be met with approval.
