Awhile back in November my parents took away my computer for semi-bad grades. They said it was a bad influence on me and was starting to keep me from my studies. Now, that may have been true, but my computer was my main 'source' of fun. I would IM, play MMORPGs, write stories, type up homework, photoshop things for fun, watch movies, etc. Now that they've taken it away, it feels even harder to concentrate of my studies and since my grades haven't been rising, they've kept me off it. I feel stressed out since they have done this, and have told them several times. They just say that if my grades go up, then I can have it back. But I can't concentrate since it is gone. This has been going on for around seven months, can someone please help me?

Thats the breaks. Sorry you are so stressed and having a hard time dealing with your loss of fun but Mom and Dad are right.
School should come first so just focus and apply yourself. Summer is almost here.
i know thats not the answer you wanted:-)

There is more to life than the computer. Congratulation to your parents for standing by their word, In time you'll come to respect that about them. It sounds like they are being consistent with what you have to do to earn the computer back.

As for your problem. Computers don't make you concentrate. It sounds like you're fixated on wanting you computer back, but you're really to ----- well, lazy to do anything about it. Like study and get your grades up.

There is a whole world outside of the computer screen, you could find another activity that you enjoy. If you're just sitting around the house whining about not having your computer it no wonder you don't have any fun.

It sounds like the computer has become an idolin your life. You really need to take your focus off the computer and put it on something a lot more meaningful, such as God and His word. Try this! When you feel stressed about your computer, read the bible.

why not try and avoid procrastination (leaving something for the last minute) and study for a test for 2 days before it is time to do the test. also take notes and things that teachers say twice underline because they will be on a test. this way you can make your grades improve and if they do then you will get your pc back.

First off, sounds like you deserved it. School is WAY more important then your PC

Second of all, sounds like you're a bit too reliant on your computer. Go outside, go for a walk, play sports, do something that doesnt involve sitting on your *** in fonrt of a screen for hours. You sound like you're socially inept, and addicted to your computer. Its probably healthy that they took it away.

Well, I think it is a bit harsh,...and if I were you, then I would do the obvious, and get my grades back up...so you can get back on line,...pretty simple, huh? I can't stand to be without my computer!
