I have been through things like that before. It's a nasty feeling, I am pretty glad that I got off it.
I know that psychologists are rather obsessed with anti-depressants. But anti-depressants can make you even more depressed for most of the time.
Psychologists are alike, they only speak what they studied, and it's half full of craps.
Try visiting physician (Not psychologists) and see if they can provide any help, they usually can offer non-medical treatments or natural medicines (non-prescription) and other alternative ways of treating overstress issues.
For the softball part, I had the similar issues before, I used to play strategy games like Dawn of Wars online, and each time I lose my head feels like burning, so I had to withdraw from it. (You know how people show off when they win)
Same for other games, I usually get quite irriated when I lose in poker (Through it's only free chips). I got used to it after a while.
What I would suggest is, don't stick to softball if it does not really help you with finding a relief.
I used to procrisnate a lot during high school times, it led to late assignment and also lots of stress too. However I find a great relief after the graduation because it's no longer chasing me.
Sleep is very important too, I found that I don't really mind about the issues that concerns me when I have enough sleep. It helps you to stay conscience.
I also write down how I feel when those feeling comes through, like a blog, or simple on paper, it helps. Go back and read what you wrote after a day or two and you will probably find "Hm did I wrote that for real?"
I haven't been into the army so I am not sure how their system works, but try to take some days off, it will help.

You sound like your at the point that I was at last year at this time. Have you thought about depression? That is what my problem ended up being. I had no idea that those feelings were depression symptoms. You can go to a doctor and have them give you a prescription for an anit-depressant. But those always have some terrible side effect that just seems to go against the point that they are suppose to be helping. It is frustrating. I found that seeing a counselor was a big help because she helped me deal with the anxiety which in turn helped me get back into my life. There are also herbal treatments. I have heard that many people have great results with these. I hope that you do find out what the problem is and get to feeling better! There is nothing worse than being trapped inside your own body when it doesn't feel like your own.

Hi Matt, I'm sorry to here that this is happening to you. No you're not going insane. Believe me - I've been there and when your insane you're not really aware that you are.
Built up anger and aggression can cause a feeling of wanting to be in control of every aspect in your life. I live on anti depressants because I don't function well with out them. to me it is not different than taking medication for heart disease or diabetes. I have seen psychologist too, but I must admit only one made any sense to me and once I had made that connection - I've never looked back and never felt so good.
Another avenue to look at is (just a suggestion) an anger management course. Never been to one myself but have heard first hand that it has help many men AND women.
Best of luck my friend!

According to what I've learned in my college years & at the present in my masteral classes, an insane person is an individual who can't cope up anymore with his life, is losing touch with reality & every aspect in his life (may it be mentally, psychologically, emotionally, spiritually & social) has also been affected, & is kind of destroying himself & the people surrounding him. So far as I've read your statement, you're not insane. & as you've stated you've been full of stress & anger lately, I guess you've to relax yourself a bit. Find time for self- reflection or self- awareness. You don't have to spend so much to preoccupy yourself. Talking with loved ones or even to God can greatly help. You could ask help from a counselor, much different from a psychologist. Counselors listen to an individual's problems & guides you in the process of solving your problems.
But at least I congratulate you because for me you are definitely a sane individual, & at least you're trying to find ways to positively cope up with your problems!

Well Matt, if you think you are, you probably aren't...you are just a very senstitive person, who is obviously so caring about others, that you can't change things, that you are really getting to the peak of your frustration....Pray to God, through Jesus, our Savior, to help give you the continued strength you need to carry on, and know that my prayers are always with you x
