Do you love them for that, or for the person they are. The reason i ask is that there is a guy who fancies me and spoils me rotten, but i dont know if i love him for who he is, or because of the way he treats me ?

HELLO EMMA......
I AM REALLY A GUY WHO LOVES TO SHARE WITH A GIRL MANY THINGS. I SOMETIMES EVEN GO OVERBOARD TO DO SUCH THINGS. HOWEVER, THE THINGS I DO ARE TO KEEP THE OTHER HAPPY. IF YOU FEEL SOMETHING FOR THIS GUY, IT IS OK, BUT THE IMPORTANT THING IS THAT, IF YOU DIDN'T HAVE ALL THE THINGS HE GIVES YOU, WOULD YOU STILL BE HAPPY WITH HIM. ARE YOU HAPPY TO HAVE HIS PRESENCE, HIS SMILE, HIS LOOK BESIDE YOU?
IF YOU ANSWER YES, WELL........YOU ARE PROBABLY IN LOVE. IT IS NICE TO RECIEVE STUFF, BUT IT IS NICER TO HAVE FEELING LONG AFTER THE FACT OF GIFTS!

If you loved him you'd no for sure and wouldn't have a doubt! I'm not saying thats what your about but any girl would love to be spoilt rotten! You could be with this guy and have all you ever wanted, or would you? I think real deep love would make you far more happier than gifts and this guy!

Hmmmm

Yes i used to be like that with a close male friend, he'd always treat me to stuff, take me out for drinks and to the cinema. i began to feel guilty as i know he really cared for me beyond friendship. i was more than happy to be his friend but didn't want to make him feel like he was chasing the uncatchable.

i started to fall for him after a few years of knowing each other, and by the time i realised what a good guy he was and how good we'd be together, he'd lost his infatuation with me and found love with someone else. i was gutted. i knew how it felt then with the whole unrequited love scenario. We are however still really good friends and quite close, but we've both got partners and live seperate lives!

i guess you may love this guy coz of what he does for you, imagine - take it all away and be basic simple friends - ask yourself, would you still care for him the way you do?

Good luck, i hope you sort your feelings out :D

imagin what if he didn't do all these things to you! do u still love him or not?
i think his works makes u feel that ur the most important thing in his life, and if he does not do this the same in the future u will feel that he doesn't care about u. by the way think of the other thing that he did to show u how much important u are for him ;)
then u can easily decide
think about the times that he took ur hands and hugged u about the times that he said "I love u" and now tell me what do u really feel about him? ;)

if you love him you should tell him you dont need him doing things for you all the time... if you dont love him you should be a good person and not use him like that..

Wait until he's gone from your life, and see then whether it's the things he does for you or the way he is that make you miss him. Or not.

This is something you have to search deep within yourself for that answer. Hopefully it will come out to be "love him for who he is!

Good luck!
