It depends upon the type of cancer...is it because he is afraid of treatment or because of lack of insurance or money that he is not getting treatment? Some cancers grow slower than others, but still it would be best to get treatment.

Skin cancer can be fatal. It is fairly easy to detect and treat. Usually the simplest way is surgery to remove it.

But the cancer sells may spread throughout your body and so might require additional treatment.

Basically with skin cancer early detection and treatment is the best way to deal with it.

My mom had melanoma skin cancer, the deadliest kind, and she had it 3 times. She's ok. Yes, you can die, but caught early enough they can usually cut out the cancerous area. If he's not in the late stages (where the cancer has spread to his organs) he should be fine. From what I can tell, it sounds like he discovered it early enough.

All surgery is serious. People don't usually dies of skin cancer unless it is caught very late in the disease and spreads.

skin cancer is easily removed early on , but the longer its left untreated the deeper it grows until it gets into the blood stream , if you think he has it , i highly advise him getting treatment , or atleast getting it checked
