I have masturbated now what?CATHOLIC!?

have masturbated 1st time after 3 months.
It was a bad habit around this time last year but i stopped and now i feel bad ive done it.
The main reason i done it was to get over the annoying urge and stop my wet dreams at night.
But i feel bad i dishonered god im catholic.
I have prayed
-a roseary
-Prayed for forgivness
and i have just like talked to try to explain i feel bad and why i did it.
And i really cant go to confession for at least 5 weeks because at my church there are 2 priests one is on holiday so its the other he never does confession on sunday b4 mass only on sat but on sat i have to work.
What can i do?
Is what ive done enough?
i have also promised to pray a few hail marys etc b4 i go to sleep for forgivness.

Im serious as a catholic.
I dont care about anything else...

A decent priest will hear your confession at ANY time. A priest friend of mine hears more confession in the airport when he is on vacation than he hears on a Saturday afternoon!

Discreetly say to him," Father, I am in a state of mortal sin, will you please hear my confession?"

If you find it difficult to say you masturbated, say you were impure with yourself- he'll know what you mean!If you have received the Eucharist since this happened, you'll also need to confess that you received while not in a state of grace.

First, don't beat yourself up for masterbating once in the last three months. Find consolation in the fact you know it's wrong and that you continue doing the good job that you are doing.

You are leagues ahead of many people - who are so blind they cannot see the injustice in masterbastion, casual sex, you name it.

Personally, I am not sure it's possible to go "forever" without release of some kind. And, when that release overcomes us in a sinful manner, there is always confession.

Confession is not only about the forgiveness of sins, it's about asking - and receiving - the graces from God that we need to conquer the demons that haunt us the most.

You should go to confession as often as it takes. If weekly confession is hard to come by in your parish, perhaps you can call the rectory and schedule a confession with the priest during the week. This is a common thing to do.

Also, if priests/confession is not readily available in your parish, there is nothing wrong with receiving confession at a neighboring Catholic parish.

Whatever you do, don't get discouraged. Discouragement is exactly what the devil wants you to feel. The devil want you to beleive no amount of praying is enough, that no amount of personal effort is enough, that overcoming your sin is impossible. Never give in to this discouragement.

Pray as if it all depends on God, and then work as if it all depends on you. Be patient, with yourself and God, and you will overcome your temptation to sin.

I'm not Christian, but I will tell you that masturbation is mentally healthy. People who don't masturbate tend to have many more mental problems than people who do, and from personal experience, I tend to become suicidal if I don't reach orgasm atleast once a month.

But according to the bible, if you are sorry, then you can be forgiven. I think that most people will agree. I personally think that it's natural, and god (no matter what religion) is natural, so how could he be against it? Animals do it, humans do it, we just do.

Alright, the first thing I suggest is to call your parish and ask the priest if you can set up a special time for Reconciliation. Priests will almost always go out of their way to do this--it's their responsibility. Also, do not receive the Eucharist, for to masturbate is a gravely sinful act, and to commit a gravely sinful act in full knowledge and with complete consent is mortally sinful. A person in a state of mortal sin has lost all grace and therefore must not eat of the Body and Blood of Christ. Personal prayer, while excellent, is not sufficient to remove the stain of mortal sin. Only the power of Christ can do that. In confession, we go to Christ, who acts through the priest, and He forgives what we have done. To be reunited with the Church and with Christ, that is , to be cleansed of mortal sin, we must go to confession. Because of your scheduling difficulties, perhaps you can try to find out about reconciliation at another parish, and make sure to talk to your parish priest about setting up a special time for confession--he'll be happy to do it.

By the way, don't let others fool you--masturbation is wrong, for it is a sexual act that does not have the possibility of procreation, and so is inherently against one of the purposes of sex. And, don't be fooled into thinking that masturbation is "natural" and that "everyone does it". Granted, it is extremely difficult to break the habit, but it gets easier with time. I used to be in a similar situation, but through prayer and discipline have not performed such an act in five years (I'm still a teenager). It is very hard to do, but nothing is impossible for God.

And don't remember, no matter how sinful you have been, Christ is always willing to forgive us. In fact, He ardently desires to forgive us, so much so that He suffered immense torture and gave up His life for us. So whatever you do, don't despair--ultimately, God is love.
