Dressing up with John Amaechi in NBA locker rooms is one thing but grappling with him is a whole different "ball game" (if you catch my drift.. lol.) No offense to the homosexuals out there. I just want the opinion of other straight men.

I for one am not comfortable with it. Being in such vulnerable positions is quite disturbing. This is my personal opinion and I don't mean to impose my opinion on others, nor do I want to argue... so please leave the fighting in the octagon!

As far as I am concerned, a fighter is a fighter is a fighter. That said, a fighter is concerned with maximizing his training and winning a match, so there is zero room for any kind of sexual tension in a fight.

I guarantee that there are gay MMA fighters, but they sure as hell won't say anything for fear of repercussions. There are too many homophobes out there who will ignorantly point fingers and accuse them of feeling guys up in fights. I honestly do not believe that a gay man is thinking about getting his rocks off while you are pounding his face in or vice versa.

That's not to say they may not enjoy thinking about it in a fantasy type setting, but that is neither here nor there as long as they keep it out of the ring and off the training mats. If you are not comfortable with a man thinking about you in a sexual way, you always have the option to pretend it's not happening... because you can't stop him no matter how hard you try. Most of the gay men I have befriended over the years have little to no interest in straight men anyways.

Don't leave out Julius Caesar, he and Mark Anthony and possibly Brutus spent way too much time out in the fields together : P Just as long as the gayness is not the issue and it's not about gays vs straight, but just a good ole prize fight, then I won't have any problems with that. Besides, the previous posters are right, a fight is a fight, if nothing else, most homophobes would probably grab the opportunity for some literal gay bashing.

I recon the last thing a guy man would want to do is try and touch you up while your smashing his face in. I would have no problems in fighting a gay man in the ring or any where else.

Besides history is full of great gay warriors - Richard the Lion Heart - Alexander the Great for example.

I couldn't care less about my opponent's sexuality if I'm fighting him and I'm getting paid. If he kisses me or something during the fight it's an extra motivation to kick his butt, but if he's professional and respectful, then he's just another good opponent.

I'm straight and I say fighting is fighting, we wouldn't go in to do anything else...
