I don't look at it that way.
If you're referring to your last question, please check my answer, as well as the answer that mentions Thomas. Doubt is perfectly understandable, and some people at least need empiric evidence before they can believe.
I'm one of them.

Actually, to be able to see the truth you have to have some preliminary faith. This is just the way it works, even in your normal everyday life. Just suppose if you go to school and question a teacher, but in your mind you have no faith that what he will tell you is the truth, in your mind you have already rejected everything he was to say. Will you be able to learn anything from him that way? Obviously not. To be able to learn you have to accept the teacher's authority, have faith in Him. The same way to be able to understand anything about God you have to have at least some basic faith in his existence. Demanding some type of proof, like the atheists do, is actually rejection in disguise. No matter how much proof is given, they don't accept it because they are not inclined to. So many times you would hear the argument "Why doesn't God show Himself!" But the reality is even when He does (and we can't really demand of Him, He is the God and we are just tiny, puffed up but extremely insignificant, living beings; it's like a homeless bum demanding the president of the country to serve him breakfast in bed), materialists just fail to recognize and acknowledge Him out of their spiritual ignorance... Faith is the first step on the path of self-realization.

Number one, God is invisable. He has left signs of himself all over that we reject. Those that hate God, will apply new tags like "millions of years" or evolution to his creation to draw men away from acknowledging him.
He also says that his ways and thoughts are not like ours. He makes the rules. We can question them, but that is like a pot asking the potter "Why did you make me?" Check out the last 4 chapters of Job you will find that Job had the same questions you have and God showed up and answered him. He doesn't need to show up everytime that someone who won't submit to him anyway ask for him to show up.
I think that poohcat1 answered you best.

Vanity. Explore the old testament, and you shall find that signs were given quite often. Men sought them often from god, then time after time...... they forgot these signs, and turned away DESPITE the signs. Examine Israel after being brought out of Egypt. They witnessed massive signs, constantly. Yet, when they were camped at Sinai, waiting for moses to return, they asked Aaron, God's own High Priest to make them a golden calf to worship, AND AARON MADE IT FOR THEM! All they had to do to see a sign of God, was simply to look up..........(Ex 32: 1-9)
This is but one example of many. This is the reason that Christ himself promised us ->
Mat 12:38 Then certain of the scribes and of the Pharisees answered, saying, Master, we would see a sign from thee.
Mat 12:39 But he answered and said unto them, An evil and adulterous generation seeketh after a sign; and there shall no sign be given to it, but the sign of the prophet Jonas:
Mat 12:40 For as Jonas was three days and three nights in the whale's belly; so shall the Son of man be three days and three nights in the heart of the earth.
When the Son of God promises that no sign shall be given, do not expect one. (I know that many continue to do so. That does not mean that it is scriptural.)
Paul

Problem here. God has given us all kinds of proof, like creation, morals, and He has revealed these facts, and well as Himself in the Bible. But do you know why you don't believe any of that is proof of God's existance? Read Romans Chapter 2 and you'll find out.

God loves us, right? He wants us to love Him back. Love comes from free will. If God showed Himself , proved His existence beyond doubt, we'd have no choice. We'd have to serve Him, but would we be able to love Him? Believe on him and one day we will see Him. Also, Jesus said "He who has seen Me has seen the Father." One day( it could be very soon) He is coming back, and then we will all see Him. Also Jesus said "Blessed are U because U have seen and believed How much more blessed are those who do not see and still believe" Hope this helps. God bless U

Ok let's say for argument's sake that Jesus is God.
Would you tell God when He should come or show himself?
I don't think you'd tempt God and therefore you wait for Him to come back. You are the servant and He is the master.
Hope that helps.

About a half hour ago, someone asked a very similar question. I asked a question of him/her as my answer.
What would you have to see to know that it was God? Everything that points to God is constantly being explained away by man either as a lie or as a coincidence. In otherwords, if you don't know what or who He is, how would you recognize Him?
We believers see God in everything as we believe he is the creator of all things. Our personal relationship with Him also lets us know that we are constantly in his presence through the spirit.

From my experience, God does show himself, but He is a gentleman and will not interfere where He is not wanted.
God shows Himself to us everyday, it's by His grace and mercy that we take each breathe.
