I desperately want to know the title and author of a painting. I saw it with my mother between 1993-1995 in a gallery in the El Paseo Shopping District in Palm Desert, CA. It was very large (over 5X5 ft.) and it was a painting of a small child, i think a little girl. From what I remember it was in sepia tones or something similar, and somewhat sketch-looking. The little girl's face took up the majority of the canvas, and I believe she was wearing a hat, perhaps straw. The price was circa 10,000 dollars then. It is my mother's favorite painting but she knows nothing about it, I want to buy it for her one day for everything she's done for me. Thank you so much for your time. : }

I suggest you visit the gallery again, or write or call them about it. The piece may be by a local artist and have already sold by now. If it has not sold yet, you will need to buy it as soon as possible so no one else will get it first. Good luck.
