Both are pretty old and not in their prime.

Gracie hasn't really been a dominant name in MMA in quite a while, and Sak has been little more than a sideshow act for Pride, keeping him fighting because of his Japanese fanbase.

I still love things like this though, when the legends come out and still throw down, Congrats on being able to go to the fight, that is awesome.

I haven't seen any marked improvement in Gracie's standup game, and Sak while not as quick and as athletic as he used to be is still a better wrestler.

I am afraid that Kazushi "The Gracie Hunter" Sakuraba is going to win once again. However I don't see this being a pretty fight.

Thats a tough one. WIth the beatings Royce has taken before, is he finally going to quit being so stubborn about learning a little stand up and some ground and pound to go with his submission game? If so, it should be an even match. Sakuraba has beaten all the Gracies he has fought, so Royce is going to need to do something the others have never tried before.
If he doesnt cross train Im gonna say Sakuraba is going to take it to Royce. Sakuraba has more fought more experienced fighters and his style works well for him. Neither of them are that old, and sakuraba has had some medical problems that could of hurt his fighting, I think one being a blood clot in the head or something like that.

Sakuraba has beaten all Gracies he's fought against, he dominated Royce when they fought, and that's why he's called "the Gracie hunger".

Edge: Sakuraba, based on his experience.

Saku has Gracie's number, and that's part of the reason people coined him 'The Gracie Killer' a few years back. I want Royce to win, but after seeing him lose to Hughes I'm not sure he can pull it off. He looks out of his element in this newly evolved MMA.

I have the first fight on DVD. Saku owned him but couldn't finish Royce. Some freakin how that match went 90 min. That's 90 fn min folks. Unbelievable. Thats like 18 five min rounds......Royce couldn't continue and Saku had to fight Igor V. in the same night right after fighting Royce.
