**Miss**~{Teen}~LeAsBu... They left stuff out so people wouldn't lose interest? Did your pastor teach you that?

cause Jesus mentions of the coming of a prophet after him. And that was non other than Muhammed.
So they denied the coming of Muhammed and got rid of it. This is the reason why christians do not recognize Muhammed.
One can wonder how did a popular book like the bible miss the popular man like Muhammed

I don't know about him, but I do know that his gospel wasn't included because it wasn't written until about the 5th century.
Edit: I was wrong. Some scholars HAVE placed it as being written in the 5th or 6th century, but the earliest known copies are from the 16th. I think that's a little bit too long after Jesus lived, died and was resurrected to be believable.

I have no idea why it was not included in the Bible.
As to your question about people saying they will pray for you....well, if someone says it and does not do it...they are a liar and have sinned.
When I tell someone I will say a prayer for them, I stop whatever I was doing (even when I am on here) and say one. I would hope that most followers of God would do that as their personal relationship with our creator allows for quick communication that does not require long winded fancy prayer words.

the gospel of barnabas has absolutely no apostolic support and was written 1400 years after the time of barnabas. this is evidenced by the fact that it was never quoted by any church father or church historian before the 16th century
the books of the new testament were all written early [before a.d. 100] and by eyewitnesses, or by those who interviewed the eyewitnesses...but even HAD the gospel of barnabas been written during the time of the apostles, it still would have never gotten in the canon due to the historical and doctrinal errors it contains. for example, the gospel of barnabas says Jesus did not claim to be the messiah- the gospel of barnabas also says that Jesus was born when pilate was governor [but history records pilate becoming governor in a.d. 26 or 27].
it also claims that Jesus did not die on the cross, as does the koran in sura 4:157. historians sya that the gospel of barnabas was written in the 15th-16th century a.d., likely by muslims seeking to discredit the biblical message regarding Jesus.

There are many parts to the new testament that weren't included simply because they wanted to get to the piont. There was a whole chapter written about Marry, but they didn't add it because they wanted to get to the story of Jesus & not lose peoples' interest.

Do you mean the "Epistle of Barnabas" it was anti-jewish or something or other so they had get rid of it with "Shepherd of Hermes" as well, so much for christians knowing the bible and it's history, there's no point in asking them this question as some of us atheists know more about the bible than they do

wut gospel? Barnabas saw Christ only for couple hours while they were hanging on crosses together.
And then he died, and could not write anything.
