I think there's enough religions messing up Iraq for the moment.

The only way to change things in Iraq is to bring freedom of religion to that country. Yes I pray that each individual would come to know Christ as personal Lord and Savior. But all people in all countries need this. God would never say wait or no to this. Jesus came and made the way clear almost 2000 years ago. The answer is always yes to this question in God's eyes. The real question is will people turn to God and repent and ask for forgiveness and be saved. God has done all that is required now it's up to the individual.

No, I don't pray for all Iraqis to suddenly become Christians. However, I WAS praying that the tribe that was giving us the most trouble (the Sunnis) would turn their back on Al Qaida. Well, they did.

I also prayed for the safety of soldiers from our post while they were down range. There were VERY few casualties, and NONE from my husband's company. A couple from his unit were killed, and yes, they were people we knew, but no one from his company. Luck? Maybe. But maybe not.
A soldier who survived an IED blast was holding a Bible verse that his wife had given him in his hand. I heard about this from one of the guy's best friends. The IED exploded in such close proximity that EVERYONE standing within a couple feet of him were killed or badly injured, and the Bible verse he was holding was scorched. Luck? Maybe. But IEDs usually aren't picky.
So anyway, I don't pray that people in Iraq will suddenly lose their free will. But I do hope and pray the war is over soon.

My prayers for the people of Iraq is that they be comforted in their suffering. Although a Christian, I know that their is only one God so if they believe in a creator, their God is the same as mine.. even if we practice it differently.

God does not "convert" anyone. He does not want automatons. He wants people to love Him voluntarily. So my prayer for any Muslim is to look into Jesus Christ, and see Him for who He truly is. And to abandon Islam, and accept Christ as their Savior.
That is what I pray for. And not just in Iraq.
