- Bern is the capital, Zurich is the largest city
-it rains a lot in Switzerland (like today, it rained the whole day!)
-switzerland is famous for it's chocolate, cheese and watches
-there are 4 official languages: german, french, italian and rätoromanisch
-switzerland is know for skiing, and it really is great!
-about 70% live in appartements
-Switzerland isn't part of the EU and doensn't have the euro, the currency here is the franc
-food: raclette (raclette cheese served with potatoes, pickles
-august 1st is the national swiss holiday
-switzerland is beautiful with the alps, lakes, the scenery is great, but life here can sometimes be frustrating!

I'm swiss and so I know a bit about switzerland (:D)

So here are my ten favourites:

If you want to see the alps:

Matterhorn (a beautiful mountain)
The Jungfraujoch (Also a beautiful mountain)
The Glarner Alps (These are some beautiful mountains)

If you want to see good cities:

Zurich (a great city)
Lugano (a beautiful city in the canton of tessin)
St.Gallen (This is the city with the famous stiftsbibliothek)
Geneva (A wonderful city in the french part of switzerland)

If you want go skiing (only in winter):

Flims-Laax (big ski-region)
Elm ( ski-region in the glarner alps)
Davos (A beautiful ski-region with easy pistes)

1) Everywhere you go, you hear the cow bell rings.
2) even in the wild nature, all the stones are in a row, everything is in place, somebody goes and set those !
3) all lakes water are 100% clear to see through
4) Motorbikes. You see them everywhere.
5) Migros grocery shops. You see those everywhere.
6) there are no bad hotels (even the cheapest are good)
7) inter city roads are good, but narrow
8) Getting on cables car or those special trains that go up the mountains is not cheap.
9) in the winter, the roads through the alps are closed ("Passes" you you can get through, in some cases there are special trains that will load the cars to go to the other side.
10) Train is the most conviniant way to travel. including from/to the airport.
