at the slighest provocation, she tells the whole world everything i say to her in confidence. i love her as a sister but she sees me as a threat

Stop telling her things. It sounds like she's using confidential conversations as weapons. Take away her weapons.
She and you should love and appreciate one another. Maybe absence can help her realize that.
If she misses the one-on-one talks, she'll come to you.

Quit telling her things in confidence. Why are you telling her when you know she will broadcast it?
Theres not a lot you can do for her, she has to open her eyes. She is seeing you as she chooses to. She resents you for some reason and unless you can get her to say why so you can work it out you are better off keeping your distance unless you like being abused.

Talk to her. Tell her what concerns you. Ask if she is willing to join you in therapy sessions to work on your relationship. Ask her what you might be doing that annoys her and can the two of you talk about it? Communicate.

learn not to trust your sister. set boundaries and find a friend or counselor to whom you can confide safely.
