If I tell her he'll know because she'll start avoiding him and I may lose him and her as a friend what should I do I don't want to see anyone hurt or scarred for life?

omg...I can't even stress the amount of responsibility you have here! You need to tell your childhood friend that if he doesn't tell her (TO WARN HER) then you are. OMG...I would so want someone to tell me that my bf was HIV positive if they knew. That is not something to play with. Seriously talk to your friend. If he is an *** about it....fu(king tell her man....that is SOOOOOOOOOO fu(ked up!

This can be a touchy subject for anyone to deal with, yes the one with HIV does deserve happiness but not at the expence of someones safety.It isn't something that needs to be said on the first date but it's something that needs to be talked about when the relastionship is still new so the other person doesn't believe it is being hidden or cover up. Just come out and ask if he has told her yet, and be honest about the way you feel about the other person, they should understand and respect you for that. Worriest case sanario is you have to tell her and lose to friends to keep them both safe.

what kind of friend are you! we are talking about a serious disease. if you were in this situation and dated that person who has hiv and your friend knew about it and didn't tell you because of some selfish reason you have,how would you feel? you can be saving a life here instead of helping another person take someone down .do the right thing! something like this can haunt you forever.

Hi there. If the guy who is HIV + doesn't tell your girlfriend that very important information, then he is being ignorant and not being safe. Your friend needs to know! What if they have sex? What if she becomes infected accidently? She needs to know and you should let him know that he needs to be responsible and tell her. If he doesn't, then you should. I think you would much rather she know, then find out too late that she is positive too. Right? Good luck.

Do you love your friend? Of course you must inform her. In fact, I would tell her 'casually' in front of him, "YOU DID MENTION TO (HER NAME) THAT YOU WERE HIV POSITIVE? DIDN'T YOU?
Be bold because, you may only have one chance to let her know, if he was too much of a jerk to do so.
That of course if my personality, if you are not that brave, go to him and give him a 1 day deadline time to tell her, or you will. Inform him to have her call you to verify that she knows, that you want to verify that he is a good guy.

You should encourage your HIV positive friend to come clean with the girl. She needs to know.

Talk too him and tell him that you will give him a certain amount of time then you will say something. This is a life and death matter not a high school affair.

tell your hiv friend that he needs to be completly honest about his condition that way everyone remains safe. Tell him that it is up to him and you don't want to get in the middle but that is the way you feel.

She needs to know! It is her life and she should have that choice! His feeling should be left out of it. He should have told her a long time ago.

You really should tell her, and if he is a Friend and a good person it wont matter because he would have already told her anyway.
