My dog smells & snores , is grumpy & dirty and has really horrid habits, but I love her so much and cuddle her all the time. Are we dog lovers mad ? my husband only has to fart and I moan at him.

Lol! but where would they be without us? Our GSD is 12 and has had EPI since he was three. we were overseas at the time and getting him diagnosed took 5 months, all the time he was losing weight, he'd gone from 44k down to 18k. He was literally starving to death in front of us, but we knew what the problem was from researching his symptoms - the vet (army vet !) wouldn't get the medication for us to just try, it was prescription only at the time. When they did finally get results and we got the enzymes to put in his food it was like an overnight transformation, he put his weight back on quite quickly, it's cost us a fortune about £2000, during those 5 months X rays and blood tests etc, and £60 every 3 weeks for his medicine, although it's no longer prescription only so the price has gone down. So many people said put him to sleep - we were very close poor boy was skin and bone but the way he looked at us, we knew we'd fight for him as long as he was fighting to stay alive! No amount of farting, bad breath, bad habits, rolling in mud, slobber, snoring will ever change how we feel about him - I think people thought we were mad but they don't know him like we do! He's 12 now and his health is failing - old age, we'd do it all again for him though.

Our recent addition, Chinese crested well, what can you say? even my mother who isn't a great doggy person has offered to have him when we go on holiday! He's just.............well amusing, he yodels, he blushes if he's told off - which doesn't happen very often - can't keep a straight face when he sits there pulling his 'who me?' face, he does what those humans do when he farts, looks surprised and looks around for who did it! almost like he blames the 'big dog' oh just can't describe the things he does, it'd be impossible not to love him - he came in looking like a phantom dog after rolling round in the new mown grass, ghastly shade of green, mad or not, you just can't help but love them!!!!

I love my dog to death, she is my child. I'm not married and have a part time live-in b/f. There's times where I find Gabby-Goose is better company. I live in something like a single trailer w/ only one bedroom and the dog follows me all over. I even let her sleep in the bed w/ me. There's times when I'm trying to do something and not paying attention to her and she will do everything possible to get me to stop. She drives me when she does that but I stop what I'm doing and play w/ her for a few minutes then tell her "mommy has to finish her work then we can play some more". Lol!! She'll come lay down next to me until I'm done. True dog lovers are simply mad!!

We are mad, our dog sleeps the whole time, we are constantly worried that she is going to die, she has to go twice a week to a very expensive hydrotherapy centre and nearly weekly to the vets, she costs a small fortune, grumbles and snores the whole time but we love her dearly and couldn't be without the shaggy old sausage monster. The poor old thing is twelve so we must make allowances. We certainly are mad but in a good way.

Dogs have been my Life, my Companions, my Income, my Lifesaver, My Comfort and My Solace when my wife died.
I was fortunate to have been a Police Dog Handler for thirty years. The last 9 years of that was as a Bomb Dog Handler but I was able to trust my dog implicitly and I would not have changed my working life one little bit. How many men can say that?

DOGS IS GREAT!

I loe my dogs so much because I know that they would give their lives for me and that they love me more than anything. Nobody in this world will ever love you quite like your dog does. They don't care what you look like, how much money you make, or if you smell bad.
Their love is pure as it is totally unconditional and I try to return the favor.
You know you love them when you even think their farts are cute!!

Of course we are! My 4 month old pup is really struggling with toilet training and I sometimes think if I see one more accident on the floor I'll scream! And the chewing of my sons toys, and the farting and the holes in my nice new lawn! But she only has to look at me with those puppy dog eyes and I melt x

That is so funny! My dog stinks, never does anything I tell her to, absolutely has to hog the couch and insists on licking her backside while I'm eating, but she's so cute and cuddly and I love her to bits.

Dog lovers are mad, but cat lovers are worse. Have you ever told a cat lover that you don't really like cats? They go MENTAL and strike you off their Christmas card list!

We love them, bad habits & all, because that is how they love us.
They never refuse to come to us for a cuddle just because we look less than perfect.
They don't complain when we pinch all of the duvet.
They don't pinch our sweets, make-up, shampoo, money etc.
They are always pleased to see us no matter how horrible we look.
They rush to the door to greet us the minute we get in & listen patiently to our moans about our bad days at work.
They never disagree with our opinions.
Dogs are great!

We are dog mad. I have seven. All rescue except one. All pedigree. I was in the living room with them the other day and my sister walked in and burst out laughing. I was sitting on the floor while all seven dogs were sitting on the white leather sofa. Unbelivable. They along with every single other animal on the farm manage to dominate me. To last tiny chick. Am i mad? You bet I am!

Ha, ha, ha!!

I thought I was the only one!!

I have two dogs and just this morning one of them was with me in the garden, and I turned to him and said 'I love you so much, you are gorgeous and cute'. He wagged his tail as thought to say 'I know!'.

Then hubby came to go out to work and it was a quick kiss and 'see you tonight, have a good day' etc.

As we speak my two are sat right next to me as though they're super glued to me!

We've only had our dogs for 4 years, and now I couldn't imagine life without a dog!

But to answer your question, no - dog lovers are not mad!
