Yes, it will be faster. If you really are concerned w/speed, why not go for a V8?

Upgrade the mustang to a v8. You will be happier with the mustang and the extra horsepower .... also cross refrence the price at http://www.themustanginsider.com/FordMustangs1999to2004/ ... maybe you can get a good deal.

I think you would be happy with the Mustang. It has enough HP to get you into trouble and it will be easier to pay the insurance on it, instead of getting the GT V-8. There are a lot of aftermarket parts out there if you want to gain HP.

Hope it fits your needs. good luck.

Trust me, you don't want a 2001 Ford Mustang. They are alot slower than most of the Japanese cars of older years. My wifes 3000gt Would tear a 2001 Mustang to shreds. So if I were you, I would get a used Japanese car. They last longer, have more power and go alot faster than their American counterparts.

yes!! definatly buy it and bring it to a mustang shop have them flash the ECU and then you can get a few thousand dollars worth of MODs then bring the car to a dyno shop and have it dyno-tuned for about 250 - 500

If you looking for Power/Torque a V8 is the answer but if you looking for a noise maker get yourself a Rice Burner. Buttom line is your call no one else.
