I don't know what the hell's going on with me. Most of my day I am seriously depressed, depressed enough to where I want to hurt myself and I know that's not normal. So is it just depression or do you think I have a hormonal imbalance...or both? Because I've been this way ever since I turned a teenager, and I'm 20 now. What do you think?

I think you really need a doctor's help. When anybody gets to the point of depression that they want to hurt them self or someone else, this is very serious and needs the attention of a specialist in that field. Please go to the doctor and save yourself, good luck.

Sounds like you need to ask a professional... but do you go to work/school all day feeling this depressed or do you just stay home alone feeling this depressed?

That is a major question they will ask you, because if you are sitting at home, they (if they are GOOD doctors, and not just wanting to sell you pills) will help you get more of a life which can elleviate your depression if not completely than enough to be easily treatable.

You will never get a meaningful response from anyone on this site. We are not psychiatrists and cannot diagnose depression or any other mental disorder. You must see a psychiatrist who will work with you and prescribe medication which will reduce your depression and if you are lucky and respond to the med it will eliminate your depression completely. You need professional help not a bunch of people who have nothing better to do than answer questions on this site.

Stop being so negative. That a start. Being sad will bring people down. For what reason. Look for happier thoughts. Positive things comes out of everything.
