i had this major crush on my prom date. we are both graduating. he's staying here and i'm leaving. he never told me if he liked me back but all my friends said he did...he just didn't want to get involved since i'm leaving. it wasn't until the last few weeks we actually began speaking again...until then he seemed really nervous to talk to me and made things awkward when we were around each other. but tonight i found out he has a gf now. i guess he asked her out tonight. out of nowhere. idk why but i felt like i wanted to cry. i invited him to my grad party and i'm sure i'll see him at a few that i'm going to but idk how to act around him. advice? comments? i'm just so sad about the whole thing now.

i told him that i did like him but i just wanted to be friends since that's all we could be to each other at this point. after that we began speaking like regular people. but i only said that so he would stop acting like he was going to burst into flames if he spoke to me.

It is probably best that you did not begin anything with him. You are leaving. Why would you want to tie yourself down with a long distance relationship? The right guy may be waiting for you at the end of your trip. If you were in this relationship, you would not have the opportunity to get to know him. You are too young to be getting serious now. Wait and enjoy yourself for awhile. Give yourself the chance to meet "Mr. Right". Good luck in your life. You will be looking at the world from a totally different angle pretty soon!
