I really like this woman alot, we work for the same company and have been talking for like 6 months now. I am willing to take a risk and meet finally even if i means I get hurt and things don't work out. She on the otherhand is more stand-offish because she has been hurt in her past and she's older and doesn't feel she has as much time and she's risking more.

I can agree with her, but we are both head over heals for each other..

What do I do, what can I say, how should I act to make her feel more at ease and assured that age doesn't mean anything to me and who cares what is normal in society???

I already have said "look at Demi and Ashton!"

You are head over heels, she is not. If she was she would not make up excuses.

Finding true love is rare, and woman who is looking for love will jump at the chance. The age thing is not an issue, she is not that much older than you are anyway.

People get hurt everyday, whatever happened in her past should have no reflection on what is going on between you and her.

I don't mean to be a wet blanket, but long distance relationships hardly ever work out.

How can people say that they fall for each other without ever actually meeting the person. Don't you realize that people can pretend to be anything they think that you want them to be when you are just talking. Go meet her. Spend a week or so there before saying that you are head over heals. She could turn out to be the biggest bi*ch that you have ever known. That might be why she got dumped.

By the way, 34 is not old.

Tell her the bright side; you'll be able to support her 10-years after she starts drawing social security, before you become eligible.

The distance is the problem, forget about the whole thing.
