No, and not because he's black. If anything that could HELP the situation. As it is, no white guy has done any kind of impressive job.
Obama, however is new to the game. He's not a business or military man. This next president will have the monumental task of coming in and cleaning up a huge mess that was made before him militarily and financially.
Most of our government is now corrupt and incompetent. It needs a cleaning up to fix some internal problems. Once the war is ended, FEMA needs to be dissected and the incompetent or dishonest need to be eliminated.
He also did NOT vote FOR or AGAINST the immigration bill.
He should have voted against it.

If the election were today, probably no. Obama, maybe.. So far the Republicans don't have a definitive front runner and I usually vote conservative. As far as Hilary is concerned, if the Dems put her up it would be like giving the election away. As far as a "new" idea, I don't think so. To many crazy racists out there to have put up a "black man" in the White house. Are we ready for one today? Ask the secret service. They're the ones ultimately responsible in protecting the President.

If the President does his/her job right, then does it really matter if they are black, white, hispanic, male, female or otherwise?
If they truly care for the people of America and put their needs first when making important decisions, about things such as war, health and education, would it bother you if the President was, for example, a Hispanic female?
If it would, you should really think twice about your morals.
Race, religion and sex should not be taken into account when using your vote for President, Senator, or even the Dog Catcher. It should be their enthusiasm for the job, their willingness to do all that needs to be done for the job, and if they are competant to do the job that should matter.
You could vote the best-looking, white male on the planet into Presidency, and he could suck.

There are still people out there who won't vote for a black. Fortunately, there are fewer and fewer of them as time goes on. But the fact there were large numbers of racists in the past tells you why there have been few blacks considered to have a shot at the presidency.

No way. He is all show and PR. No experience and, even, a spotty voting record for the short time he has been in public service. Perhaps, after he has been seasoned and shown his true positions on the issues. But a resounding "NO!" based on the neverending series of "elect the black man" sound bites and photo ops that have been his primary hype.
Hitlery (sic)? No way, EVER!

1. Yes, in a heart beat, he shows integrity and he is open minded about alot of issues. 2. I really don't base my opinions on him being black, white, or chinese, as long as he does his job right. 3. Idk, maybe because African Americans have been a minority and there hasn't just been enough votes (not saying whites won't vote for an African American), plus many African Americans are not registered to vote, or don't vote. 3. I think Hilary has potential but some think that because she is a woman it means that she is weak, I think thats just a stereotype, but I would vote for her if Obama wasn't running.

I am disapointed with the Democrats after they gave in and did the opposite of what they said they would as far as war funding... Still, I will vote for a black, yellow, purple, or polka dotted candidate before I consider a vote for a Republican any time soon. Bush Jr showed us all what the right is about, good luck pushing your agenda for the next few decades.

No on both. Both are running on false agendas and are not representative of this country. I won't take the time to get into it.
I personally don't care if it's a black (I'm not PC), woman, asian, etc. If they are willing to stand up and have a back bone in this country, I'd vote for them. So we haven't and still don't have viable candidates to choose from that meet the minority status.

I hope I get to vote for Obama. If the DNC is foolish enough to nominate Clinton I will have to vote for a Repub.
(Hill for a woman? I thought Hillary is a Black man?? Ever heard him preach?)
