Perhaps they 'conveniently' do not mention all the good that you do in the family and in life in general, but then they DO something(s) intentionally mean behind your back [rumors, exaggerations, or they say something cruel to you in hopes 4U to strike back verbally so they can 'tell all the relatives', twist it all around so that they come out smelling like a rose]?
Aaaaaaaaaaaaaand maybe your parent doesn't have the guts to EVER take up for you one bit hardly?
HOW do you deal w/that cr*p?
[it's very difficult!]
what did you finally do for self-protection emotionally, spiritually, politically, socially?

It is very difficult to deal with and the source of much of my unhappiness. I wish I had an answer for you other then to have faith in yourself and try not to care so much what others think of you. Your mom/dad knows the truth as do you in the end that is all that matters right?

Yes, inform your dad at present. If you do not, you'll NOT get a role and pay the price tag, it'll move to warrant and make matters all that so much worse. If your dad was once shiny, and realizing how immature you're, he'd be checking the police documents everyday to look what new situation you have gotten your self into. I doubt that the texting factor goes so as to add all that so much to his anger, on the grounds that you're grounded, no cellphone, no vehicle. If you wait, it'll be worse.
