No. The military has this policy. In most places your sexual preference is not part of the job description for a police officer and since it is no body's business why even bother discussing it? It is not asked because it is considered irrelevant.

NO, and anything like it would be very illegal. Only the military is allowed to have a gay/non-gay policy. No civilian agency is allowed to discriminate by sexual preferences. Despite what some cops think of themselves, they are civilian employees and in no way are part of the military.

No. As long as that person is someone I can trust, I will accept him/her. Their private life is their own as long as it doesn't put me or anyone else in danger.
