That is wonderful! You will do fine. You know all the answers already. You have the desire to serve Jehovah and to help preach the message of God's Kingdom, otherwise you would not want to take this very important step. I was very nervous also, but the elders are so wonderful and they want you to succeed...Jehovah wants you to succeed! We want you to succeed! You will do fine! I am so thrilled! This brings back all kinds of memories! Thanks
(for AnGel): Your attendance at the meetings need to pick up before you make the final step of dedication to Jehovah, and then baptism...but this is the a big step on the way to the greatest step you will ever take!
You are both in my prayers tonight!

You are truly on the right tract. Your desire and effort is to be commended. Adding on to the other good comments, Question for you? Have you joined the Theocratic Ministry School as of yet? If, not, it is encourages to qualify and join the School, first. That training on the School prepares and equips you for what's in store out in the ministry. Great training ground. If you are already on the School, great! Two elders will ask you some questions taken from the OM publication. Answer the questions as honest as possible, because if you become an unbaptized publisher, you will be known as a Jehovah's Witness, and as you know that carries great responsibility. I hope for the best for you.

I became an Unbaptized publisher a couple months back...well my son & I. And it wasnt anything hard at all. The elders were very nice, as they are, & they made it real comfortable. Its mainly the basics that you already know in your heart about who Jehovah is to you, are you still involved with another religion if you were in the past, if your smoking or other things, have you given them up..et et...its nothing scary at all! Ohhh congratulations, now you can go out in the ministry! Dont be scared, just pray to Jehovah, he will help you through your nervousness...:)
The Unbaptized Publisher questions arent as many as the questions they ask before baptism. I was only asked like 5 questions....but each congregation might ask different ones, but they are all important.

Wow. You have no idea how timely your question is. I've been wanting to talk to my teacher about becoming an unbaptized publisher. Please keep in contact with me and tell me how it goes.
Do you know if there were prior requirements? Like meeting attendance? Cuz I don't have good meeting attendance, but I've been studying for about a year and 3 months, so I know the basic teachings.
I hope you do well and start preaching the good news :)

I was a little nervous when one of our elders went over the questions with me 32 years ago. But after a while, the nerves settled down because I knew the answers to every question. The questions dealt with Bible topics that I had already been over in my weekly Bible studies. Talk to your teacher again if you have any concerns. The questions are not difficult. If you have been serious about learning the Bible and about applying to your life, you will do fine. I believe in you.
One word of caution. Posing a question like yours in an open forum like this one will get you erroneous and misleading replies from those who either oppose us or those who just don't know what the Bible says. So be careful.

I am going to quote directly from the Watchtower: "What counts is not how much you know but how much you love what you know. Psalm 119:165 says: “Abundant peace belongs to those loving [not just knowing] your law, and for them there is no stumbling block.” The key is loving God’s law, deeply appreciating its value in your life.—Isaiah 48:17, 18
Obviously you love the wonderful truths you have learned from the Bible so far. As long as you have brought your life into harmony with them, and sincerely want to serve Jehovah forever, you will be fine.

Don't worry, you'll find you know what they're asking you, and the brothers there are the same ones you talk to each week. It will be fine. Still, I remember I was a little nervous too, so it's normal. :)
Baptism is a great thing! May Jehovah bless all your efforts!

don't be nervous. it is not a test that you have to pass. the elders just want to get an idea what you know. even when you answer questions to get baptized, the elders just want to know what you know. say what is in your heart, that is what the elders want to know. you don't have to study for any test. the elders will make you comfortable, they know you will be nervous. remember the elders are inperfect also

Don't worry it isn't a 'test', It is like you current bible study.
You will look up several scriptures and verify you know what they mean.
This is a very exciting time in your life. Enjoy it. It is a wonderful journey that you are starting on.
One full of love, joy, and peace.
I've never regretted my decision to follow Christ in the worship of his Father Jehovah.

"I hope I get approved because I really want to please Jehovah and be baptized soon."
RED FLAG!!!! Sweetie, our loving Father does not require anyone to approve you to be baptized or to preach anything to anyone.
I want you to seriously think about what you just said, and ask yourself if that concept is taught in the bible. Does the bible tell us that we need approval in order to preach or become baptized??
