It is not necessary to go to Jerusalem when you do not have the means, I mean financial suport to go in that place.. In truth, there is no such as Holy land in the bilble. The said Holy land came from the Vatican (Pope) to name it as Holy land because if you say that Jerusalem is holy, do you mean to say we are not all Holy? The hloly land is not true.

Of course not! The majority of Christians can't afford a trip to the Holy Land!

Hello, Eddie:
The State Department just issued a statement discouraging tourists from visiting Israel.
I suspect that God told them to say that--it's a disaster.
Blessings, One-Way
P.S.: Read "The Rise, Decline, and Death of Islam in Bible Prophecy" at www.revelado.org/islam.htm and you will know why.

No, it's not.
John 4:19 The woman saith unto him, Sir, I perceive that thou art a prophet. 20 Our fathers worshipped in this mountain; and ye say, that in Jerusalem is the place where men ought to worship.
21 Jesus saith unto her, Woman, believe me, the hour cometh, when ye shall neither in this mountain, nor yet at Jerusalem, worship the Father. 22 Ye worship ye know not what: we know what we worship: for salvation is of the Jews. 23 But the hour cometh, and now is, when the true worshippers shall worship the Father in spirit and in truth: for the Father seeketh such to worship him. 24 God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth.

No its not a duty. But, I have been wanting to go there for a long long time. I might look into going through my church. Sometimes they go as a group. It would be interesting to see for sure.

No, Israel is not the Holy land. When Jesus was crucified the Vail in the temple was torn from bottom to top. God had withdrawn from the temple and the land.

Lets get something straight, who is to say what you as a believer in God and Jesus is to do, i mean were does this idea come from, nobody should have to be told anything, im an atheist, and one thing that seems to get me is why Christians and other religious people think they need to be told what to do to find god, i mean isnt it you thats finding him not your church or w/e, just my 2 cents.

No. But it would be interesting to do so with archaeological study in mind -- that is if one didn't have to worry about getting caught up in the mindless hatred going on in the middle east.
