Paint does wonders. Depending on your style and taste, and since the room is small paint only one wall a bold color. If you have old furniture, spray paint it to your liking. Whatever colors you choose buy throw pillows to throw on your bed to add a decorative touch. For the other walls that you are not painting, get music magazines and hang posters on your wall on an angle. Not too many, maybe two large posters on each wall. For lighting buy string lights and either hang from the ceiling or on the wall for a decorative touch. Have fun!!!!!

Check out HDTV website "Design on a Dime " they spend like about $50 redoing rooms get tips from there.

u need to explain more-
but lets do this, ... check some website- & see things u wanted, but can't afford to buy- then think on how to duplicate it ...
otherwise, ask ur interior designer friend for some advise.
paint does the magic in makeover!
