okay i hate writing essays, because i am a bad writer. will it affect me in college?

college gives alot of essays right? well i am afraid that my difficulty of writing them will cause me to fail or give up in the class. help

You call yourself a bad writer, but I've never read anything you've written! However, most colleges have writing centers where you can get help writing papers and such, or you can go to your professor (or a random professor who looks nice) and ask them for help.

In many classes you may have to write a short essay, a journal article critique, or something in between, but not all the time and not for every class.

In the meantime, Don't forget to capitalize and punctuate correctly, and ALWAYS ASK FOR HELP SO THAT YOU DON'T LOOK LIKE A DUMMY LATER. That's a word from the wise. *wink*

If you major in math, you will be ok. My sister took that route. She deliberately chose classes that didn't have a term paper requirement.

If that is not an option, just go to the writing center at the university that you attend and they can help you.

A lot of people have this problem. My niece (daughter of the math major sister who married a man who was a good writer) taught at the writing center. She was very popular in her dorm, and the lines would form around exam time, when all the term papers were due and people wanted her to proofread theirs. She said it got so bad she had to lock her door and hide inside sometimes just so she could study for her exams!

She is an editor today.

But she's the exception, a lot of college grads have trouble and that is why the writing center does so much business! Just start your term papers early so you can get help and don't wait until the last minute like everyone else.

yes, it will affect you. Your going to write alot of essays in the specified format (mla, apa etc) that your university uses. If your grades are low in English right now, you will probably be required to take a developmental English class in College, it wont count on your transcript for credit hours but you'll have to take it before u can take any other English classes.
The easiest way to write an essay is to do an outline. You can get a book on essay writing, take tutoring, or a cop out way - pay people to write them for you.

It can cause you problems if you don't find someone to help compose and edit your essays. My husband dropped out of college in the early 90s because he couldn't write but when we dated in the late 90s, he went back, with my help, and finished his courses.
