I've been seeing this guy for a few weeks I'd say, and all last weekend we hung out together. we were supposed to do something on monday but didn't. then on tuesday i asked him if he wanted to go to the movies with me, but said "I wish I could but I have a convention tonight" so I said maybe another day, he said "maybe thursday or friday". then I hadn't contacted him since tuesday. then he just texted me tonight, and said "sorry this week is nuts" since it's thursday and all. so I texted back "it's ok I understand that you're busy, hope you're doing good. we'll be able to catch up" does that sound needy or too vague? or just right? I want him to think I'm still interested, how did that sound? lol sorry I'm being retarded but I'm just wondering.

You didn't sound needy but it seems like he's very sure of your interest in him, so don't reassure him again. Don't call him and don't be available for a while--he blew you off and he knows that's not right, and you pretty much just showed him that he can get away with doing that.

You teach people how to treat you. Don't let this guy do that to you again. Be cool with him. Good luck.

I dont think it sounds too needy at all. You let him know you understand he is crazy busy and that its ok. But, still letting him know that you are still interested in hanging out when he gets time. It shows him your not crazy nuts about not being able to see him (which is good) but, that you are interested. Good Move on your part.

Nope.. your answer sounded supppper. You didnt sound too needy, but you got the point across that you were still interested by saying "we`ll be able to catch up". Good Luck! =]

that sounds just fine. you really mean it, and needy would be like..." i'm glad the week's over, let's make it up by hanging out all week!" type of thing, text him later and ask him if he wants to hang out anytime unless he's busy showing that you do care about his schedule and you're interested!

I think what you said is perfect; when dealing with guys, the trick is to let him know you are still interested in seeing him, but not come across as "desperate for male attention". Also it sometimes is to your advantage that you not always be available when he calls too; it says you have a life.
