-always switch lights and other electrical items off when not using them
-switch things off at the point at the wall, not just the switch on it.
-if you have more than 1 fridge running (even bar fridges) consider turning one off-fridges use around 30% of your household electricity.
-always turn your computer screen and speakers off when the computer is turned off.
-open curtains during the day time to allow the sun to heat up the house so you dont need the heater on as much in winter. But close them once it gets colder to keep the heat in
-In winter put an extra jumper/thicker pants and wear socks and shoes in winter instead of using a heater
-try to hang clothes outside instead of using a dryer if possible

1. Replace incandescent bulbs with fluorescent bulbs where feasible.

2. When you leave a room turn off most of the lights. Use night lights in one out;let in every room, and then you can turn all the lights off when you leave a room.

3. Put your PC in "Hibernate" mode when you leave it rather than leaving it on.

4. Check your refrigerator to see if you can reduce the cold setting. That is, check the temp in the unit and if it's below 30 then you can probably reduce the cold setting.

5. If you have an air conditioner (a/c) increase the temp setting a couple degrees. Turn it off or set it high when you are absent from your living quarters.

6. If you use an electric clothes dryer, try using damp dry which reduces the time the dryer runs.

Hope these help you.
