I always get worried before flying, they are safe right? The chances of crashing are slim right? I hope... Something to help me get over this?

Yes they are, however that depends on who you are flying too.

Foreign airlines don't have the same requirements as US carriers. Most of western Europe and some of the Asian carriers do but many in third world countries are dicey.

No need to worry. As you've said, the chances are slim. Very slim indeed; it's been proven that it's safer to fly in a plane than drive in a car. Flying any developed carrier should be very safe. Be wary of smaller carriers in developing countries like Indonesia, but on the whole, you've a good chance of making it alive!

Your chance of getting in a car crash is much more the chance of being in a air crash.

Just trust your flight attendants in an emergency. Their much more trained in ermergency situations than most people think.

According to the website below...Your chances of being involved in an aircraft accident are about 1 in 11 million. On the other hand, your chances of being killed in an automobile accident are 1 in 5000.

I am more worried about the drive to the airport than the flight
